Every believer is called to be Spirit-filled, loving, faithful, and obedient as a servant of Jesus Christ. It’s really not about how old you are chronologically - - - it’s about being totally committed to Him as one of His precious children. This Sunday, March 5, the MULTI-GENERATIONAL CHOIR will be sharing in our Morning Worship. You will see children in grades 1-6, youth in grades 7-12, young adults, median age adults, and senior adults. Of course, they represent who we are as a congregation here at First Baptist. HOW OLD ARE YOU SPIRITUALLY? “WE ARE CALLED TO BE GOD’S PEOPLE”

BAPTIST HYMNAL - #391

“We are called to be God’s people, showing by our lives His grace; one in heart and one in spirit, sign of hope for all the race.

Let us show how He has changed us, and remade us as His own; let us share our life together

as we shall around His throne.

We are called to be God’s servants, working in His world today;

taking His own task upon us, all His sacred words obey.

Let us rise, then, to His summons, dedicate to Him our all;

that we may be faithful servants, quick to answer now His call.

We are called to be God’s prophets,

speaking for the truth and right; standing firm for Godly justice,

bringing evil into light. Let us seek the courage needed,

our high calling to fulfill; that we all may know the blessing

of the doing of God’s will.”

How to Join Our Church Family

We would love to talk to you about salvation and/or church membership.

To discuss this with our pastor, you may choose any of these options:

1. During the concluding hymn of the morning worship service, walk to the front of the Worship Center to speak with Pastor Brian.

2. On the 1st Sun. of each month, Pastor Brian will be available after a.m. worship in Room #202 to talk with you & answer any questions.

3. At any time, you may email Pastor Brian at [email protected] or text or call him at 601-616-9641 to schedule a time to talk.

From Our Pastor... Tonight: 7-Minute Sermons! During our evening worship service tonight, we will hear three Seven-Minute Sermons from three men in our church: Colton Fremont, Lee Balliet, and Bryan Burt. This idea came from another pastor who found it to be very effective for his church family. I can't wait to hear what God is going to share with us through these three men. Come tonight to support them and to be challenged by the messages they will share with us. Sunday School Mission Partnerships We had a great discussion of Missions last week, and I hope each Sunday School class is praying and deciding on a missions partner. Sunday School leaders, please provide us with the list of your desired partner indicating your first choice down to your fourth choice from: Newton Middle School, St. Louis Church Planting, Mexico (Pastor Roberto), and Malaysia (J & C). We would like to have all classes assigned their partner by the end of March. Special/Called Business Meeting on March 19th We will have a Special Business Meeting on March 19th after the evening worship service to hear a recommendation from our Newton Missions Team regarding the selection of the Newton Middle School as our "Jerusalem" Missions partner. Part-Time Facilities Position The Trustees are seeking to hire someone part-time to help assist Lee with building and grounds work from now through the summer. This position will include outside yard work such as weed-eating and edging, inside cleaning work such as regularly mopping the gym, and moving tables and chairs to set up for events. If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please call the church office for more details and/or to pick up an application.

Remember: You are a Disciple, A Disciple-Maker, And A Missionary!

I Love You!

Welcome! Sunday, March 5
