Nokia Lumia 928 – Teardown Guide

• First, use the fine tip curved tweezers to remove the SIM card tray fromthe Nokia smartphone. The SIM card try is located on the same side ofthe smartphone as the headphone jack.

• Locate and remove the single T5 torx screw that secures the displayassembly onto the phone. The screw is located in the SIM card slot.








• There is another T5 torx screw located in the headphone jack. Thisscrew will not come out all of the way so loosen it as much as possible.It will allow the locking bar that secures the display assembly to release.








• Insert the plastic opening tool in the seam between the back cover andthe display assembly. Work your way around the entire Nokia smartphone; gently freeing the clips to remove the Lumia 928 back cover.








• Use the fine tip curved tweezers to gently pry up and remove theearpiece speaker from its location.








• Locate and remove the ten T5 torx screws that secure the middle frameand motherboard to the display assembly (marked with orange circles).

• Next, locate the locking socket for the headphone jack flex cable. Lift theside of the socket, opposite the flex cable, up 90 degrees to release andremove the flex cable (marked with a white rectangle).


Display Assembly (LCD & Touch Screen)







• Insert the nylon spudger between the display assembly and middleframe, carefully pry the two parts away from each other. This will revealthe display assembly connection and you allow you to disconnect it. Youcan now remove the Nokia Lumia 928 Display Assembly








• Locate the rear-facing camera connection toward the bottom of themotherboard. Use the fine tip curved tweezers to release theconnection and remove the rear-facing camera from the Lumia 928.


Rear-Facing Camera







• Use the fine tip curved tweezers to gently pry up and remove themicrophone assembly from the motherboard.


Microphone Assembly







• Peel up the Lumia 928 front-facing camera's connection. The cable isheld down with a small amount of adhesive. Slowly peel up the ribboncable from the adhesive and remove the front-facing camera from theNokia smartphone.
