Nokia BSC3i Diagnosing the BCSU

Below are steps in troubleshooting the BCSU of a defective plug-in unit. Read notes below forESD requirements

E ample. Replacing a plug-in unit in BCSU-!

). %f a unit is in wor#ing state *+' change the wor#ing state to S,. fter the calls handled b the unit have ended' its state changes automaticall to S,-E/. Change the wor#ingstate first to 0E and then to SE.$USC&BCSU'!&S,($USC&BCSU'!&0E($USC&BCSU'!&SE(

1. Switch off the cartridge power suppl .

2. Remove the plug-in unit from the cartridge.

3. Chec# the interchangeabilit of the new plug-in unit.

4. Chec# the strappings of the new plug-in unit.

5. %nsert the new plug-in unit.

6. Switch on the cartridge power suppl .

7. Change the computer unit wor#ing state to 0E.$USC&BCSU'!&0E(

"!. Start the total diagnosis of the unit.$UDU&BCSU'!(

"". Chec# the diagnostics results.$UD8&BCSU'!(
