BS7671:2018 Following the publication of BS7671:2018 on 2nd July 2018 the model forms published in Appendix 6 have been updated and therefore the NICEIC and
ELECSA forms have been revised to incorporate the changes from the new Standard. This guide is designed to help you with understanding the new
features and enhancements that have been made to the NICEIC and ELECSA online system. The Guide is broken down in to sections to cover generic
features and then form specific features.
It is important to note this Guide covers all forms and schemes, but not every branded form will be available to you as this is scheme dependent.
Contact Us For guidance and support with the new features and enhancements please contact our Online Support team –

General Following feedback from users we have developed a number of new features to improve the form filling experience as well as incorporating a number of
changes that have been introduced with the 18th Edition of BS7617, these include –
Certificate Mode – the system has the option for two views, data entry view (as currently available) or a new Certificate View option. This can be selected
when first accessing a form –
You can also alternate between Certificate Mode and Data Entry Mode (as 17th Edition) by clicking the Certificate Mode button, you can switch between
modes at any time during the form filling process. We recommend that you manually save whenever you switch between modes.

Navigation menu - to navigate around the form the navigation for Certificate Mode can be found by clicking the menu button.
This will also take you to notes and images pages as well as any other continuation sheets and additional boards you may have
created for more complex installations.
Manual save – to save form filling progress the system now uses a manual save feature, this should be used to save forms as you progress.
Add details – there are a number of places in each form where additional content can be added, this can be done by clicking
Click +Add to additional Continuation Sheets –

The text below can be edited and will update on the form
Additional information can be entered here and will be presented as below.
Once a Continuation Sheet has been used the will change to this symbol to show that a Continuation Sheet is in use.
The text entered will appear like this on the final pdf Continuation Sheet –

Auto N/A – a number of fields have already been populated with N/A to aid the form filling process. Where needed these can be changed by clicking into
the field and either selecting another option or typing the relevant information into the field.
Duplicate Boards, Circuits and Templates The new approach to duplicating forms is to use a Template. To set up a template the following steps are required for each form type –

Circuit Details and Test Results
Circuit tree view – the Tree Circuit view for building boards and circuits is no longer used. The feedback we received from users prompted us to design an
easier to use interface based on the Certificate / Report form. This can be seen in the Certificate Mode view as well as via the Data Entry Mode view.
Add / remove Circuits and Boards – to be able to add a circuit and board as well as removing them click on the lightning flash button.
July 18 V1.0
Add details for DB and Circuits – for both the Add Circuit and Add DB the data can be entered in the pop up box, once complete ensure SAVE is clicked.
Multiple circuits can be added as well
July 18 V1.0
Add multi-phase Circuits
When completing a form with multi-phase circuits the text and data will need to be added manually, for example –
Add circuit from menu
Add the number of circuits and then SAVE
July 18 V1.0
These will appear in the Schedule of Circuit Details and Test Results. The circuit numbering will need to change to reflect the multi-phase installation, this is
done by clicking into Circuit Number column and typing the required circuit naming convention. The rest of the circuit description and details etc…. can be
entered as normal. For example –

Data Entry Mode – Circuit Menu
When using Data Entry Mode, the Circuit Menu button will give access to adding Circuits and Boards
Once clicked the following menu will appear on the left hand side of the screen –
This works in the same way as described for Certificate Mode.
