Report of international student leadership program-

DUBAI

From 16.05.2018 to 21.05.2018.

Adhi College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) management is organizing

the International Student Leadership Program (ISLP) for every year. Topper of every

department’s pre-final year student will be selected as representative and this team will

visit to the leading international universities and industries at any one of the leading

countries. During the year 2017, ACET team visited the universities and industries in

Malaysia between 08.03.2017 and 12.03.2017. And this year 2018, ACET team

visited the top Universities and industries in Dubai from 16.05.2018 to 21.05.2018. This

program is fully sponsored by our college management which includes flight tickets,

VISA, food and accommodation.

Before leaving to Dubai, the meritorious students have appreciated by our college

chairman Dr. Dilli Saranraj. He explained about the importance of ISLP and demand of

engineers in the international market. Finally, our respectable college chairman issued the

flight tickets for all meritorious students in the presence all other students and faculty

members.

The parents and relatives of these meritorious students have come to Chennai

airport on 16.05.2018 for sent off to Dubai, happily. Both students and parents have

expressed their gratitude to our college chairman for this sponsor. Students were very

happy to travel in one of the leading international flight ‘Emirites’. ISLP 2018 team was

well received by the Edu India Team at Dubai Airport with flower bouque.

Visit to Indian Trade and Exhibition Centre, Dubai

On 17.05.2018, we visited Indian Trade Center at Dubai, where so many international

universities extension campus were functioning. We discussed with different university

authorities and faculties. Edu india team arranged an international seminar in which it

was explained about Dubai higher education system, education fee of different courses

and job opportunities in Dubai and other countries. Our ISLP team was well interacted

and got clarity about international education system.

Visit to Skyline University

ISLP 2018 team visited Skyline University on 18.05.2018 and met various

department students and collected their experience. The students interacted with

international students from Philippines, Dubai and UK. And our students enjoyed the

facility of various part of the SKYLINE UNIVERSITY, DUBAI.

Visit to Mars- A chocolate factory

ISLP 2018 team visited Mars Chocolate factory on 19.05.2018. It is a World largest

Chocolate factory. It has large production unit at Sharja, Dubai. This factory was made with lot

of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics equipment. The students met Production Manager as

well as workers from Kenya and other countries. They explained about the manufacturing of the

chocolate flow of cycles. Hence they describe in detail about working principle of machines,

electrical circuits and sensors.

Visit to Westford university:

The ISLP team 2018 visited Westford University on 20.5.2018 in the forenoon

session. It is a UK based university. Staff and students of this university interacted

with our ISLP team very well. The ISLP team was seated for one session in the

classroom of business course in which the importance of “Brand” was taught. The

ISLP team was observed the way of teaching, student’s interaction and class room

ambiance of Westford University. It was very useful for both students and faculty of

our college.

Visit to AMITY University:

The ISLP team 2018 visited AMITY University on 20.5.2018 in the Afternoon

session. It is an Indian based university. This University has excellent infrastructure. Our

team visited various part of the university such as Aero lab, advanced research labs,

library etc. All part of the university is fully automated. After seeing this automation, our

students decided that many projects can be done for our college.

Feedback and conclusion

ISLP 2018 team expressed that

1. The visit was very useful and got more knowledge about International

Education System, Research developments, international job opportunities and

MOU’s.

2. We are currently exploring the ways to make our experiences even more

effective. We believe there is an opportunity to combine science with creative

thinking. And we get better understanding how people in the world and how

we can use the opportunity in the creative way.

3. We planned to share in three sessions to our co students about this ISLP

training experience.

4. We and our parents are very grateful for this opportunity provided by our

management.
