GLASTONBURY MURAL TRAIL – THE – #GLASTONBURYMURALTRAIL TRAIL MAP Welcome to Glastonbury We are grateful that our small Somerset town is so much more than the sum of its magnificent parts (the High Street, and Rural Life Museum, the Abbey, the Tor, Chalice Well and the White Spring, to name just a few). The town itself has a visionary spirit all its own, and we invite you to explore this spirit using this map as a guide to our newest works of art: murals that now animate our unique landscape. The Glastonbury Mural Trail is a Town Council and Chamber of Commerce and Tourism initiative that has blossomed through the hard work of many volunteers, the abundant talent of Glastonbury artists and the generous support of several local businesses. Inspired by the original mural trail by Jim and Caroline at the Pilgrim Reception Centre, the Trail’s current incarnation has been an exercise in collective creativity thanks to artists and sponsors who are passionate about keeping Glastonbury colourful. In the murals you can see the common threads that inspire both residents of and visitors to our one and only Isle of Avalon: modernity and spirituality, the Earth, our land and our heritage.
