First shot•Establishing shot: The white house - Washington D.C.•Zoom out- this implies the thriller is based in Washington D.C, it’s going to be political and the president of the United States is going to be included in the film.

Third shot•The lighting is dark- (Night time) suggesting mystery and the unknown•The camera zooms in to the house implying that the next scene will take place in the house.

Fourth shots•The Mid shot of the man on a TV screen is the first character we see suggesting he is an important character.•He looks like he works in the military as he is wearing a military uniform.•He has a microphone to him suggesting he’s being interviewed.•The scene cuts to a wide shot. It includes the man seen on the TV and two other men. Suggesting the two other men are interviewing him.•This raises questions: why are they interviewing him at night? And why in a house? This gives the viewer the idea that they are investigating secretively or outside of the law.

Fifth shots •These short-take, shot reverse shots between theses two men shows the tension and conflict between the two men.•The bald man is shown in a mid-shot. His facial expression implies he’s trying to be intimidating. In the end he brakes the mug he’s holding, in a show of strength, which could be seen as a threatening metaphor.

•The light in the house is low, suggesting they don’t want to be noticed by any outsiders and don't want outsiders to know what they are doing.•There are shadows on each characters faces, implying they are all ambiguous characters and they is some mystery about all of them.•The man being interviewed has blood on his shirt or what looks like blood, implying he has been involved in some kind of violence.•The fact that he is being recorded implies that the two men are working for someone and they have to report back to them or are trying to create evidence to solve a case.•The farthest man to the screen is at the head of the table, which implies that he is in charge of this interview.•The constant shot reveres shot of the man to the two men implies the tension and conflict between them and the man being interviewed - they are against him.

Seventh shots•He walks over to the mirror and looks in to it which suggests he’s questioning himself.•The camera zooms in creating a mid-shot, implying he’s concentrating on a memory. The shot then dissolves into the next scene, suggesting he’s remembering what happened to him ‘six moths earlier’ as that's what the superimposition shows.

•The first mid shot has the American flag in it implying its a politically based party. • The main man is staring at the woman with a smirk on his face- he’s intrigued by her.•She then walks off and the scene cuts to her looking back at him with a smile on her face- she gives him the signal that she’s interested too and she wants to talk to him.

Twelfth shots•He looks around like he’s looking for someone, then finds the person and in the wide shot he shakes hands with him. This implies they have a formal relationship. This man seems the only person he knows at the party suggesting that he invited him.•The scene then cuts to a wide shot of what looks like a husband and wife. This cut suggests they are soon going to be introduced to the main character. •The man of the couple looks like he is being greeted very gratefully by another woman, implying he is popular and powerful as people are grateful to see him.
