Colossians 3:1-4: It remind us that this life is temporary and for us to “think of what is above, not of what is on earth.”John 20:1-9: Mary of Magdala and the disciples noticed that Jesus’ tomb was empty and thought that his body was removed, “They did not yet understand the Scripture that he had to rise from the dead.”

En cierto sen-tido, hemos estado acompañando a Jesús en el recorriendo por el camino de la cruz durante este tiempo.Su sufrimiento fue ciertamente mucho mayor que el nuestro y acep-tado con más amor y fe en su Padre que el nuestro. Fue retenido en la tumba y nosotros hemos sido retenidos, – más o menos voluntaria-mente, – por amenazas de enfermedad y muerte para muchos otros.En este día de Pascua todavía estamos en nuestros hogares y ais-lamiento, pero podemos ver signos de nueva vida y oportunidades renovadas y comenzamos a visualizar un futuro que nos llevará de vuelta a una forma de vida más normal.Al celebrar hoy la resurrección de Jesús a la vida, que también en-contremos tranquilidad no solo del poder de Dios, sino también de la bondad de Dios para nosotros y nuestro mundo. Thomas Rush, OMI PastorGreetings to all Members of Santa Rosa Church.Now that we are completing our Holy Week celebrations we can look back on the distance we have come since the Coronavirus epidemic first took over so much of our lives and our activities. We have in a sense been travelling the way of the cross with Jesus during these times.His suffering was certainly much greater than ours and accepted with more love and faith in his Father than ours has been. He was held by the grave and we have been held – more or less willingly – by threats of illness and death for many others. On this Easter day we still are in our enclosure and isolation, but we can see signs of new life and renewed opportunity and we begin to visualize a future that will bring us back to a more normal way of living.As we celebrate today Jesus’ rise to life, may we also find re-assurance of not only God’s power, but of God’s goodness for ourselves and our world. May this renew us in our commitment to serve God in each other.May you all find the love of God in Jesus who has arisen bring-ing hope and peace to your lives.Sincerely yours in Christ and Mary Immaculate, Fr.
