Economics
Economics Students' Association ---> JOIN NOW! Tell your frosh, tell your
friends if they are in Social Science and Economics. This club looks good for your AEO and Ivey
application. Also for students that are wishing to
get further involved There is an application (once they sign up
with the club) to become an economics analyst.
This would allow them to put their two cents into what's happening in the economy and get their article published in the Economic Outlook at the same time.

Geography
1) Clubs week:GSA doesn't have a booth. If you (as a geo student) want to join, let
Shirley/Laurissa know. 2) GSA exec first meeting: Sometime next week
Will start planning events for the year, such as Pizza & Prof, Pub Crawl, Career nights, and Speakers. Stay tuned.
3) For anyone who is thinking about grad school in Geo, an e-mail was sent out about graduate scholarships. There are multiple deadlines so be sure to look at them.
4) Geography undergraduate academic council (UAC) first meeting Discussed issues about geography program: i.e.
enrollment/courses etc. Had an increase of ~700 students into the geo program!
(Woo!) Would like feedback from anyone who has taken
any geography courses and what you think the geography program has to offer.
Good/bad criticism is beneficial. The council wants students' input.
