India, as the largest supplier of software services,
faces challenges to ramp up its higher education
system to staff its rapidly expanding software
industry.
Off shoring creates major changes in the demand
for knowledge workers and the skills they possess.
Developing countries that are building their
software service export markets, such as India and
China, need to prepare large number of people to
work in this industry.
UIAMS has been started not only with the aim of
preparing future managers but also to achieve goals
such as research, giving students a liberal
education, and teaching them to think critically that
must be considered when revising a university's
program to address workforce needs.
The unique combination of telecom and IT subjects
widens the knowledge and skills of the students.
The industry gets an exquisitely finished trained
product to guide its business and make it more
affluent. The compound of 70% managerial subjects
and 30% specialized sectoral subjects along with
exposure to industry through case studies and
projects polishes the diamonds in rough.
Overall, this first of its kind MBA course being
offered here aims to make unflagging managers.
