Y Good News In City NeighborhoodsAs part of the City’s effort to improve stan-

dard of living, I recently participated in a

“Neighborhood Uplift” in the Orleans area.

During the “Uplift,” community representa-

that were in need of upgrades. By visiting

and monitoring these areas, city officials

will be better able to monitor the quality of

Insurance Carrier Battle ResolvedWilma Johnson had had enough. After being hurt at work, Ms. Johnson had

been fighting with her insurance carrier to pay for an operation she desper-

ately needed. The carrier had refused for two and a half years to agree to the

surgery when she contacted my office for help. We were able to intervene

and she had her surgery two weeks later. She wrote to us after, “The public

should know the kinds of services you do for your community. Thank you!”

Expand Your VisionThe documents are color. The messages are targeted. The goal is communication.

The marketing gods have spoken. And the message is clear.

Let there be color in documents, andlet those documents be jam-packed withvariable data that enables sellers tospeak to buyers… individually.

And why not? We all know the powerof color. It grabs – and holds – attention. It stirs emotions, and captures imagina-tions. Color expresses attitude, punctu-ates key messages, and inspires action.Add Variable Information to the mix andyou have a full-scale marketing revolution.

It’s about engaging the customer. It’sabout starting and maintaining long-termconversations – and relationships – withcustomers to inspire loyalty. It’s aboutjoining customer knowledge with customercommunications. It’s about maximizingthe impact of marketing messages…page-by-page, document-by-document,and customer-by-customer.

The reasons why are simple to under-stand. Faster response rates, more repeatorders, greater customer loyalty, a biggerreturn on marketing dollars, and significantincreases in overall revenue.

Partner with the leader.Your digital printing business strategy

must be a flexible one… one that canbend and adjust to a changing, growingand demanding marketplace. Your needswill change along with your customers. To keep pace, you’ll need a strategicpartner who can support those changes. You can’t afford to lock yourself in to onesolution… a solution that limits you to aspecific set of applications. There’s justtoo much opportunity out there for that tohappen.

That’s why Xerox has taken such anaggressive approach to one-to-one marketing. It’s the reason our portfolio ofVIP solutions – hardware, software, andapplications – is second to none. Wewant you to have options, and feel com-fortable about the investments you makein building your one-to-one business.

In the end, our main goal is to ensureyour success, and that’s why we continue to forge new partnerships, develop new composition tools, offer newRIPs and digital presses, and expand ouralready extensive list of one-to-one marketing solutions.

The time is now. The business is color. The company is Xerox.
