Murder. JOHN O'GEADY, master or commander of the

schooner Clarence Packet, and SIDONG, a Malay seaman on board the above vessel, are charged, on warrants issued by George Eliot, Esq., J.P., at Geraldton, on the 28th June, 1881, that on or about the SOth June ultimo, on board the Clarence Packet, during a voyage from Fremantle to Sharks Bay, they wilfully did murder Ah Soor, a passenger on board the said Clarence Packet.

Vide Police Gazette, 1881, page 65. YAN AGAR, ab. nat., was arrested at Hamersley

Eange, on the 16th March last, by S.P.C. Hackett, as being implicated in the murder of Johnny, ab. nat., and was shot while attempting to escape from custody. The matter was reported to the E.M. and Coroner at Eoebourne, who instructed that an inquest was not necessary.

On the 10th May last, the cutter "Lou i sa" put into Legrange Bay, N.W.C, for a supply of water, and while the master—Joshua Woods—was deepening a well, a party of natives (unknown) murdered him and decamped, and although the crew made search for Woods' body, it could not be found. From the quantity of blood in and about the well, and the appearance of a number of large stones having blood on them, it is believed that the natives caught Woods down the well and stoned him to death, afterwards removing the body.
