The meaning of this song is about this man who loves this person but he feels that saying ‘I love you’ is not enough and does not

show the extent of how much you love them by them tree words. The whole meaning is that he wants to leave the world that he is in a world he is in a world that is built by everyone else and to got with the person that he loves to a place different a place just for them a place where they can waste time and think about each

other. The repeated section in the song talks about how the man wants this person to stay with him forever and to forget the world and shape a new one, and he knows that the love he feels for this

person will all ways be there. He says ‘show me a garden that’s bursting into life’ suggesting that he wants to see/believe in a place that is pure love and is full of different colorful things.

The camera angle of this shot shows the main lead singer faced away from the camera and looking out of the door. The angle is a mid long shot showing the room and him alone. The mise en scene is a house and him having breakfast in his sitting room. And the narrative looks like it is of him and he is alone. This shot is used to create a contrast between the dark room and the light day outside. Also showing a separation between him and the outside world

This angle/ camera shot is focused on two things the man and the window and they are at opposite ends of the shot. Showing a difference or disconnection between them. He appears to be thinking/dreaming about him and this person that don’t need anyone else so it is clear to see that there is love involved in the narrative.

This scene starts as a quick fade in and there is a link between what he is doing and what he is singing. He talks about lying here with the person it is obvious to see he loves. The camera angle is from a birds eye view –medium shot as he is on the floor this then cuts to a dolly shot tracking to his face which shows the side of his face and this could be a link to show what he would look like from the person that he wants laying beside him. The tiles suggest a kitchen floor location

There is a medium fade to a fast tilt down to reveal a street as the sun is setting and as the sun is setting there is an elliptical edit whereby once the camera as finished its tilt the sun is set and its night time and street lights and car lights illuminate the dark street. The shot looks to be taken is a busy part of a town as there are many cars.

This shot is a dolly forward shot where the camera moves forward to the man who is standing in the middle of the street in a long angle frame sideways. Possibly showing that he is oblivious to any of what he is doing and only focusing on him and this person or that he is showing that he does not car about anyone else. And this could be shown in this frame by his positioning having his body pointing away from the cars.

This shot is repeated though out the song and at each time he is in different places this shows him lying on the street. The camera that is in a birds eye view lifts up coming from a close up shot to a long shot. Again he is asking for that person to lie with him to go to a place that that will be happy together

1:49This shot is the most interesting, it shows the man lying on the floor at a junction. The camera shot shows the sides of two cars with there headlights illuminating the man. The man looks to be blocking the cars from moving which further emphasizes the narrative that this man is disconnected with society and the moving world and is dreaming of being in a place of his own choosing where here he and the person he loves can do what they want. The man says just forget the world and forget what we are told which further show dissatisfaction with the world that he lives in. and then he says before we get to old which means that he wants to escape quickly and does not want to wait. This shot also shows that he wants to stop life how it has been created in society by all of us. He wants to create his own way and do it with the person who he cares so much for

This shot is a high angle looking down showing the man coming up an escalator. This shows that he is in another human built place possibly a train station or air port. This suggests that he wants to stop the daily running of this place. There is a link between the escalator and the lyrics here by him saying ‘’lets waste time’’ and his body language in this shot shows this

This mid shot of the side of the mans head looking at the top of the escalator confirms the thoughts in the last shot that he would lay somewhere to stop the normal service of a place. With his eyes shut it looks like all he is doing is waiting for that other person and wants to get out of the world he finds him self in .
