Black and White Day
In honour and memory of Mr Nas, Sacred Heart is proud to announce a BLACK and WHITE day. On Tuesday 7th September children will be able to wear black and white clothing. Our day will include an opportunity for children to enjoy Rock and Roll Dances, a concert and games with buddies. In the meantime have a look in your wardrobes for suitable black and white items.
Children will be provided with a sausage sizzle for the second lunch. Please send in extra lunch if one sausage is not enough for your child.
Care Team
We recently shared with parents an invitation to join our Care Team.
Sacred Heart Care Team C Community A Actively R Reaching E Everyone
The Care Team was established with the intention of supporting families who needed help, either for a short period of time or maybe for longer periods of time. There are staff and parents who volunteered on the original team and have been supportive of families in this way. Please see the link to a short questionnaire if you would like to join our team.

Last week I was fortunate to be able to witness several of our Sacred Heart children receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. We listened to the Archbishop explain the significance of receiving the Holy Spirit, how it burns inside our children’s hearts giving them courage and confidence to live a Christian Life. We all endeavour to share the gift of the Holy Spirit with others, through our actions, words and walking in Jesus’ image. Another special congratulations to the following students…

Recently we spent a prayerful and faith filled Friday afternoon celebrating 200 years of Catholic Education in Australia. All our students gathered in the old hall, shared a prayer, enjoyed singing along with our choir and recognising the significant contributions of people in Australia in building Catholic Education in our country. Thank you to all our families for being on the Catholic Education journey with us, providing our children with a faith filled education. This term our classes have shared a liturgy with their buddy class, led by Father Chatty. Children have considered the love God has for each of us, and how they can share this love with others. Father Chatty continues to inspire us all to go out and share God’s love with others.
In Peace, Love and Happiness,Anna Davie REC
