September’s Principal’s Message To all members of our school community, Welcome back to what is certainly going to be a very different school year. Now that we have a full week of classes under our belts I can say that I am starting to settle in to some of the new routines and I believe that many of our staff and students are feeling the same way. Many of the changes have had significant impacts on what our school day looks like and how our building functions. These changes are not all for the better and I recognize that the long classes, wearing masks, multiple lunches, etc. are difficult to adjust to. Unfortunately, these are all things that we must do under the current circumstances but I’ll be the first one to admit that I can’t wait until this is behind us! I would like to say a huge thank you to our teachers and leadership team for making the return to school go as smoothly as possible. It has been difficult, but our staff are working hard to make sure that we are keeping our school community members safe. I truly believe that NRHS has gone above and beyond in how they have carefully planned for this school year and with how they are working to stay positive and interact positively with students as much as possible. We have always been about building relationships and these new circumstances make that more challenging, but I’m proud to see how our staff has come up with unique and interesting ways to make their students feel welcome and supported. I would like to also say thank you to the students. I know this is not easy. So far, all of you have been amazing. Thank you for doing your best to meet school expectations and the expectations set by Public Health. You have been great to work with so far and I promise that we will continue to work hard at giving you the best school year possible. One more thank you before I run out of characters that Marie has allotted me :) I also want to say thank you to the parents. Your support with the new policies and appreciation for the work our staff has put in has not gone unnoticed. It will take our entire community to get through this and I am grateful for everything you have done to help make it work. By doing things like talking to your student about wear- ing a mask, keeping them home when they are sick, supporting our teachers, etc., you have played, and will continue to play, a huge role in helping us get through this. If you are not friends with Squawk NRHS on Facebook, I would recommend adding him as we post a lot of school information there. Our return to school plan has been posted there if you are inter- ested in reading it. Please feel free to reach out and contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns. September’s Principal’s Message

To all members of our school community,

Welcome back to what is certainly going to be a very different school year.

September’s Students’ Council Notes

Welcome back Nighthawks! We hope you’re healthy and excited to be back at NRHS because we are. With restrictions and guidelines gradually changing, we have to accommodate them when having events around the school. We are currently in discussion as to what that means to events that we would’ve previously have held. However different it may be getting into the school year, we can assure you it will be a fun year ahead! Caw! Ethan Mathias Students’ Council President
