• RFID Expert Group was established on April 2005 during ASTAP-9– Rapporteur: Mr. Jun Seob LEE (ETRI, Korea)– Co-rapporteur: Mr. Yoshito Sakurai (Hitachi Ltd., Japan)
• RFID EG change its name to Network ID (NID) EG on June 2006 during ASTAP-11
• NID EG had meeting on 14 March 2007 during ASTAP-12 in Bangkok, Thailand

• Initial draft status report on NID standardization activities– In this initial draft, ITU-T RFID CG, JCA-NID, SG11, SG13,

services – Q.2/17: X.520 AMD3, New directory service attributes for RFID– Q.6/17: X.rfpg, RFID privacy guideline– Q.9/17: X.rfid-sec-1, Privacy protection framework for NID– Q.10/17: X.RA-nid, Allocation of new OID for NID application and
servicesThese groups activities will be included in status report

• As the JCA-NID decided to extend its Terms of Reference in order to include the USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) activities, NID EG agreed to extend its Terms of Reference in order to include USN activities– NID EG will discuss through the e-mail discussion on
extension of Terms of Reference and will fix it in next ASTAP meeting
