Customer Information Fare Information
Exact Fare is RequiredNICE accepts MetroCard and/or coins, Uni-Ticket, Unlimited Ride MetroCard, and Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard. For ticket sale locations, please call MTA at 718-330-1234 or visit www.mta.info.
Reduced Fare for Senior, Disabled, and Medicare CardholdersSeniors aged 65 or older, disabled persons and Medicare cardholders pay a reduced fare with proper ID. Personal Care Attendants ride at no charge travelling with eligible disabled customers. Seniors and disabled customers with a Reduced-Fare MetroCard receive discounted fare and free transfers.
Student and Child FareStudents with a reduced fare MetroCard pay a discounted fare. Transfers to connecting routes are free upon request after paying the fare. Children 44" tall and under ride free with a fare-paying adult; limit of three children per adult.
TransfersTransfers are free for both MetroCard and cash fare customers. Transfers are valid for two hours on connecting routes only (see transfer connections).
• MetroCard transfers are automatically included. Cash fare customers must request a transfer upon boarding.
• A single MetroCard transfer is allowed on up to two connecting NICE bus routes, one NYC Transit bus, one subway route, or one MTA local bus route.
• Cash fare transfers are only valid on connecting NICE bus routes, NYCT local, or MTA local bus routes. A second cash fare transfer must be requested to board a third NICE bus.
• A step-up charge applies for transfer to NICE from a non-MTA transit service with a lower base fare.
Buying MetroCardThe MTA MetroCard is the fare for all NICE buses. Buy or refill a regular Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard, an Unlimited Ride MetroCard, or the Single Ride ticket from the MetroCard Vending Machines at the Hempstead Transit Center and at any NYC Transit subway station. You can also add money or time to reduced-fare MetroCards. Regular MetroCards are also sold at LIRR stations. Neighborhood MetroCard merchants also carry a selection of MetroCards.

Customer Information Fare Information
Exact Fare is RequiredNICE accepts MetroCard and/or coins, Uni-Ticket, Unlimited Ride MetroCard, and Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard. For ticket sale locations, please call MTA at 718-330-1234 or visit www.mta.info.
Reduced Fare for Senior, Disabled, and Medicare CardholdersSeniors aged 65 or older, disabled persons and Medicare cardholders pay a reduced fare with proper ID. Personal Care Attendants ride at no charge travelling with eligible disabled customers. Seniors and disabled customers with a Reduced-Fare MetroCard receive discounted fare and free transfers.
Student and Child FareStudents with a reduced fare MetroCard pay a discounted fare. Transfers to connecting routes are free upon request after paying the fare. Children 44" tall and under ride free with a fare-paying adult; limit of three children per adult.
TransfersTransfers are free for both MetroCard and cash fare customers. Transfers are valid for two hours on connecting routes only (see transfer connections).
• MetroCard transfers are automatically included. Cash fare customers must request a transfer upon boarding.
• A single MetroCard transfer is allowed on up to two connecting NICE bus routes, one NYC Transit bus, one subway route, or one MTA local bus route.
• Cash fare transfers are only valid on connecting NICE bus routes, NYCT local, or MTA local bus routes. A second cash fare transfer must be requested to board a third NICE bus.
• A step-up charge applies for transfer to NICE from a non-MTA transit service with a lower base fare.
Buying MetroCardThe MTA MetroCard is the fare for all NICE buses. Buy or refill a regular Pay-Per-Ride MetroCard, an Unlimited Ride MetroCard, or the Single Ride ticket from the MetroCard Vending Machines at the Hempstead Transit Center and at any NYC Transit subway station. You can also add money or time to reduced-fare MetroCards. Regular MetroCards are also sold at LIRR stations. Neighborhood MetroCard merchants also carry a selection of MetroCards.
Wheelchair CustomersAll NICE Bus service is wheelchair accessible. Personal Care Attendants may ride at no charge when travelling with eligible disabled passengers.
Guide and Service AnimalsCustomers with visual, hearing or physical impairments may bring their guide or service animals on buses. These animals must be securely leashed.
SafetySafety is our top priority. Please remember to hold onto handrails when entering or exiting the vehicle, walk carefully and watch your step. Please be seated or hold onto a handrail quickly after entering the vehicle.
Please do not eat, drink or smoke on the bus.
