Letter to the CommunityDear friends,

National Health Foundation had many successes over the last fiscal year. Thanks to stellar leadership, hardworking staff, supportive partners and generous donors, we were able to accomplish so much and simultaneously plan for an exciting future. Three years ago we set forward a “Three Year Outlook” for NHF and during this -the final- year, we evaluated our efforts in this vein and recognized many accomplishments. We also gained better insight into our challenges and used all that information to plan for the next three years. We look forward to sharing the next “Three Year Outlook” with you in the coming months; check our website for a copy.

Furthermore, NHF continued to perform in its three strategic areas of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management, Underserved Children and Families, and Healthcare Delivery Systems. As you will see at the center of this annual report, we have put together a spread on “NHF by the Numbers.” This info-graphic depicts some of NHF’s successes over the past year -- both process and outcome oriented. We hope that this new presentation of our work is informative and digestible. While NHF has yet to engage in social media, we recognize the value of communicating our efforts and successes in succinct and shareable bites. Hopefully, this info-graphic will whet your palate. You can refer to our past annual reports and programs described on our website at www.nationalhealthfoundation.org for additional information. Recently, our staff has been working to update this site so that you can access the most timely and informative programmatic details.

Finally, we must take the time to recognize our outstanding donors and partners. From local advocates to partner organizations across the country; NHF’s successes are made possible because of your ongoing support. We look forward to continually building these strong relationships and always adding new ones to the mix. Thank you for being our partners as we work to improve our community’s health and well-being.

Sincerely,

J. Eugene Grigsby, III, Ph.D. Jess Womack President and CEO Chair, Board of Director
