NHBC Health and Safety Awards
Existing NHBC health and safety site inspection customers can enter up to three sites free of charge. For additional sites and NHBC registered builders who are not health and safety inspection customers, the following applies:
Early bird
by Thursday 31 October 2019
£400 + VAT when using code AWARDS100
Final date
by Friday 29 November 2019
£500 + VAT
Entry allocations and fees
All site award entries must be received by 17:00 on Friday 29 November 2019. Entries must be submitted at www.nhbc.co.uk/hsawards. If you have any queries, please call the H&S team on 01908 746113.

�� Judging commences: Thursday 2 January 2020
�� Commended award winners announced: Wednesday 20 May 2020.
The competition is open to all NHBC registered builders who are actively involved in the construction of new homes.

Where the main structure under construction during
the judging period is five storeys or more
Award categories
Entry criteria Competition rulesAll entries must meet the entry criteria outlined below:
�� The company entering the competition must be the principal contractor on the site throughout the judging period
�� Judges must be allowed reasonable access to carry out site inspections as necessary
�� The judging period is 2 January to 10 May 2020
�� As it is a competition, all judging visits during the judging period will be unannounced
�� It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure the site management are aware that they have been entered into the NHBC Health and Safety Awards
�� Throughout the judging period, the site will need to have at least three of the following activities available for review:
1. Groundworking 3. Superstructure2. Working at height 4. Internal work
�� NHBC reserves the right to withdraw a site from the competition where the entry criteria is not met or where standards of health and safety on site fall below the standard expected in the awards
�� When entering the awards, you allow NHBC permission to feature your company information, site photos and entry details in any promotional materials produced in relation to the competition
�� The decision of the judging panel is final
�� We reserve the right not to give an award in any category
�� All entries must be received by 17:00 on Friday 29 November 2019
�� Entries must be submitted online at www.nhbc.co.uk/hsawards
�� The site entered must not have reached completion by the end of July 2020.
