Whaea Dallas Kaiako for TWoA
Star Program Students from around Northland gathered at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. Advocates for their schools, were exposed to tikanga Maori practices in hui, powhiri, tangihanga art and waiata.
Being given an experience with tutors who in their own right have been handed these taonga down to them so they are able to teach them to vibrant students for future generations to come. The food was healthy and plenti-ful for the students so they were able to learn to their full capacity. Plenty of thanks to the Star Program and TWoA.

Creator of the News Letter Edition 1. Luccille COOPER(Matthews) I saw an advert in the Whan-garei Report back in Febru-ary of this year, saying they were taking enrolments for semester A in computing, and the bonus was the course had NO FEES ... I rang and before I knew it I was interviewed and within a day or two later I was accepted onto the course. My life has been ENRICHED ever since. I have walked down different avenues in my life and have done many varying things, but nothing is more satisfying & rewarding for me than following my love for computing. I will come away from the Wānanga on Dec the 8th full of more knowledge and a better un-derstanding of where my future is heading. My future is brighter and my family will definately benefit in the long run thanks to our Kaiako & my time spent here at Ngā Mahinga.

Our vision is to use what we have learnt in our class to help the people in our community. A saying I acknowledge “You learn new things every day”.
Through this newsletter I hope to inform students of what’s happening on our campus, and give information on the educational opportunities for all ages that surround our campus. It is my belief that student testimony’s and Kaiako motivations will inspire prospective students to enrol and study at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa. Nga mihi nui kia koutou

Kaiako Suman Ruttan (pictured in middle of class) What is your main motivation for continuing to tutor at TWOA? People. I believe I touch peoples lives and make a difference.
Phil time Don’t go with the trend just because everyone is wearing doc shoes. Have the strength to go buy some batter bullets and don’t be shy about it. At the end of the day no one is going to butter your bread for you.
