A wide range of HighEfficiency air filtersdesigned to suit a varietyof applications andexacting performancerequirements are availablefrom Nationwide FilterCompany Ltd. Efficiencies of HEPA andULPA filters range from95% to 99.99999%.
SPECIALIST HEPA & ULPA FILTERS
Through continuous in-house research and development a combination of conventional and specialist filtermaterials (some developed in-house) are employed in the production of high performance filters to deal effectivelywith particulate matter, gaseous, bacterial and viral contaminants.
As the largest UK manufacturer of HEPA filters, Nationwide Filter Company’s design expertise and vast range ofproducts are utilised in a variety of market sectors, including:
In addition to providingconventional HEPA filterproducts, NFC is guidedby the principles ofdeveloping effective, innovative andaffordable solutions to arapidly increasingnumber of air quality andair filtration relatedproblems.
Critical clean rooms Laminar flow benches Mechanical ventilation systems Fume cupboards & safety cabinets Health & safety (respirator) industry Domestic appliance market Research laboratories Medical sector Military sector
HEPA & ULPA FILTERS
Available in efficiencies between 95% and 99.999%(H10 – H14).
Construction High grade filter media (water repellent, fireretardant, anti-fungicide treated micro-fine glass) isdeep pleated with each pleat separated from thenext by either corrugated ‘safety-edge’ aluminium orkraft paper spacers. The assembly is sealed into a galvanised steel orparticle board casing, and a single or double gasketis added as required. Each individual completed filteris then tested to the required standard. Face grillescan be fitted if required, and alternative casematerials, such as stainless steel, can be providedfor special applications.
High Capacity Deep Pleat (HCDP) models(utilising up to 50% greater media area) are availableto meet the demands of higher air volumes, or toprovide extended life in standard installations.
DEEP PLEAT ‘CONVENTIONAL’ HEPA FILTERS
Sizes Face Sizes: From 203 x 203mm to 760 x 1830mm Standard Depth: 298mm, and 156mm. Standard Capacity: velocities up to 1.26m/s High Capacity: velocities up to 2.15m/s.
Applications Pharmaceutical and medical industries Central plant – air supply systems Research laboratories Nuclear establishments
The Multi-Wedge cartridge utilises close pleat technology toprovide a ‘deep case’ filter capable of handling high air volumeswhilst providing filter efficiencies ranging from 95% to 99.999%(H10 to H14).
Construction Individual filter ‘cells’ are produced from continuously pleatedfilter media with each pleat separated from the next by uniformlyspaced thermosetting adhesive beads. Individual cells are thensealed within an outer steel case in vee-formation providing atotal media area in excess of 30m2. A single or double neoprenegasket is fitted as required.
MULTI-WEDGE HEPA CARTRIDGES
Sizes Face Sizes: 610 x 610mm and 305 x 610mm Standard Depth: 292 mm plus gasket(s) Rated Face Velocity: 2.5m/s
Applications Pharmaceutical and Micro-Electronics industries Air handling units & central air supply systems Optical and medical applications
The ability to handle relatively high air volumes makes the Multi-wedge an ideal selection for central plant, air handling units and duct mounted installations.
MINI-PLEAT HEPA FILTERS
Available in efficiencies ranging from 95% to 99.999% (H10 to H14).
Construction NFC Mini-Pleat filters incorporate acontinuously pleated high-grade filtermedium, separated from the next byuniformly formed thermosetting adhesivebeads. The assembly is sealed into a satinfinished anodised aluminium case (asstandard), with an appropriate single ordouble gasket added as required. Doubleface grilles are fitted as standard, to provideprotection for the filter face during transport, installation and under operating conditions.
‘Gel-Seal’ A range of Mini-Pleat filters are available with an extended case extrusion utilising a ‘liquid gel-seal’ (as opposed to a neoprene gasket). Alternatively, filters are supplied with a ‘knife edge’ to suit ‘liquid gel-seal’ frame installations. Special Features The shallow depth, combined with its uniform ‘close-pleat’ design (light weight with high air volume capacity), makes the Mini-Pleat the ideal filter for all laminar flow applications.
All NFC HEPA and ULPA products are individually tested and suitably packed for ‘mainland’ transportation. In the event that any packages show any sign of visible damage, they must be signed for as ‘damaged’, and reported. Filters must be handled carefully and stored in clean dry areas no more than 3 filters high. Deep pleat HEPA filters should bestored with the pleats in the vertical plane. Care must be exercised in unpacking of boxes (particularly in instances where the filter has no face grilles). The box should beopened from the top, turned through 180o and the box removed from the filter.
CAUTION
TERMINAL HOUSINGS
A range of fixed and disposable terminal housings (top inlet) is available from NFC. These may be either standardsizes or custom-built according to client specification.
