Series resistance heating cables and -mats from Nexans are ideal for comfortheating in all room types.

The cables are also ideal for snow melting and frost protection etc. outdoors.

The heating cable elements have a linear output of 10 or 17 W/m and are deliveredas single or twin conductor elements. The heating mats, which all are twinconductors, have a defined area output in addition to linear output.

In addition to this we offer heating cable on drum, which can be customized to fitalmost any indoor or outdoor application. All our heating cable elements areequipped with a unique factory-made splice between the hot and cold part of thecable.

Heating cable for installation inside water pipes. Approved for potable water.

DESCRIPTIONDEFROST FLEX is a series resistant heating cables for installation inside water pipes.It comprises 4 single core resistance wire for heating, out of which one is a purecopper wire, plus a grounding wire. Nominal output is 7-12 W/m, and maximumoperating voltage is 500V. For 230V, suitable lenghts are between 60 and 170 meters,and for 400V, suitable lengths are between 95 and 295 meters. For other voltages,calculations can be made.

All 4 conductors are connected in one end of the cable, and according to the installedlength, the resistance wires are connected to the power supply cable in variouspatterns.

Only the original end- and termination kit supplied by Nexans (10265444) is approvedfor the installation of DEFROST FLEX

DESCRIPTIONDEFROST SNOW TXLP/2R 28 W/m is a twin conductor heating cable with a linearload of 28 W/m, and is recommended for outdoor use in ice and snow meltingapplications. DESCRIPTIONThin twin conductor heating cable units for both renovation and new buildings. Theunits can be installed in two different ways:

1. MILLICABLE™ in combination with MILLICLICK™ boards. MILLICABLE™ can beinstalled directly under wooden floor coverings like parquet, laminate etc. without anyuse of concrete or levelling compound. The MILLICLICK™ boards have pre-cut slotsfor the cable, which makes the installation very easy to perform. The boards areplaced on a stable and levelled subfloor. By using MILLICLICK™ boards, the areapower will be 60 W/m². Install standard parquet underlay between the parquet and theMILLICLICK™ boards.

2. MILLICABLE™ installed as a conventional heating cable. MILLICABLE™ isinstalled as a freely laid cable and attached to the subfloor in the planned C-Cdistance. The heating cable is then covered with screed or concrete, minimumthickness 5 mm, where the entire cable must be covered.

DESCRIPTIONThe XTREME heating cable units are ideal for comfort heating in concrete floorconstructions, and especially where water/moisture may be present.

These units have cold leads in both ends of the cable, and each unit has two uniquefactory made integrated splices which are marked =>SPLICE<= on the cable surface.Thus these cables do not have any weak parts which would be installed in the floor,and all connections on the cable should be made outside the floor, i.e. in a junctionbox or similar.

The cold leads are marked with ****** on the outer sheath.

The length of each cold lead is approx. 2.3m.

Series resistance heating cable matsfrom Nexans are ideal for comfort heating inall types of rooms. There is also available a mat made for snow and ice meltingoutdoors.

For indoor use we have mats with an area output of 100 and 150 W/m².

Our mats for outdoor got output 300W/m² rated at 230V~.

The cables used in mat products are all twin conductor heating cables with differentsize and diameters. All our heating cable mats comes with manually made splice orour unique factory-made splice between the hot and cold part of the heating cable.

Heating cable mat for melting snow and ice and thawing ground.

DESCRIPTIONHeating cable mat for thawing ground melting snow and ice. The mat is connected viathe plug coming with the product to a standard 230V (Schuko) socket. The mat isparticularly useful if you need thaw the ground prior to excavation. It can also be usedat entrances to remove snow and ice, to melt frozen pipes, wells orsimilar.

The heating cable mat is manufactured using a special PVC compound integrated witha nylon woven net. The insulation in the mat (directing the heatflow downwards) ismade of self-extinguishing foam plastic. The mat as a built in protection againstovertemperature, power will be interrupted if the mat exceeds 60 degrees Celsius.

The mat is not intended for permanent installations, and the mat shall not have apermanent connection to the power supply.

Energy consumption is low and equals about 8 kWh/m2/day

Self-limiting heating cables have different linear output dependent on thesurrounding temperature. These cables can not overheat, and are suitable for frostprotection of pipes, roof gutters and drains, temperature maintenance etc. Sometypes are approved for internal installation in drinking water pipes.

Nexans can offer a range of self-limiting heating cables which will cover the needsin most non-industrial applications.

DEFROST PIPEis recommended for frost protection of water pipes, tanks, roofgutters and drains. Many people have experienced blockage or maybe evenleakage due to frozen water pipes. DEFROST WATER will prevent this in a safe,durable and reliable way. Remember that a water pipe with a surroundingtemperature of 0 °C or lower will freeze at some point no matter how well it isisolated. The only way to prevent this is to supply energy to the pipe. This is easilydone by heating the pipe with a self limiting heating cable.

Frost protection of roof gutters and drains is not only practical and economic. It isalso a matter of safety for people on the ground. At temperatures around 0 °Cblocks of ice which can fall down from the roof or block the drains can be formed.DEFROST PIPE 20 is especially suitable to prevent this, and may be regarded as auniversal cable for this field of use.

DEFROST WATERis developed for internal installation in drinking water pipes. Theouter sheath is watertight, and is approved by the authorities for this use. Thatmeans that the outer sheath material will not emit harmful substances, taste orodour to the water.

The water heater is some times placed far from the water tap. The waiting time forthe water to get hot can be percieved as low comfort. It can also lead to a higherconsumption of water. WARM WATER PIPE self limiting heating cable is suitable tokeep the water at a temperature of approx. 55 °C. The self limiting properties of selflimiting heating cables will always prevent the cables from overheating.

DESCRIPTIONN-COMFORT TR is a simple, yet versatile thermostat / regulator for use with Nexanselectrical under floor heating cable system.

The thermostat offers minimum and maximum setting limitations within its operatingtemperature range, and is configured through settings of DIP switches and apotentiometer, accessible under the housing of the thermostat. It is operated with atwo-pole mechanical on/off switch and temperature setting dial on the front.

N-COMFORT TR has got a (built-in) room sensor and is delivered with an externalfloor sensor which, if used, should be placed (embedded) into the floor between twoheating cable loops, near the floor surface. This facilitates 3 operational modes:
