Judd’s Corner

The grilled cheese today was crunchy on the outside but gooey on the inside. Yummy!!

Do cows always lactate?

There are children climbing the stairs to the chapel. They can’t interrupt Jamie and Lauren as they write and report the daily camp news! Hop on, little frogs. Hop on.

Fried Baby’s Sex to Be Revealed at This Week’s Sabbath Services

In a previous edition of the Grilled Cheese Daily, our reporters reported that Jen Fried was pregnant with a human baby. Further investigation has been conducted, and we now have confirmation that this is indeed true. At tonight’s humble Friday night services, the sex of the baby will be announced. As I spend me weeks here at camp, I have never been more excited to hear an announcement.

Grilled Cheese Daily Week 3

Head Staff of the Week: Sandy Leibowitz Rodney

World renowned art teacher and inventor of the NeatNook™ Sandy Rodney was the obvious choice for head staff of this week. She is known internationally for her lanyards, her singing, and her love of Camp Shalom. We had the opportunity to interview this wonderful woman.

Grilled Cheese Daily: Congratulations on being selected for the prestigious title of Head Staff of the Week. Now tell us, how does it feel to be Camp Shalom’s most sought out art teacher?

Sandy Rodney: Exhilarating. Best honor I’ve ever received.

GCD: How many years have you been working at camp?

SR: This is my fifth year. It would be my sixth, but I skipped a year to audition for Shark Tank.

GCD: Shark Tank, wow! But are you aware that in doing so, you left Camp Shalom’s art program in the hands of the infamous Michelle?

SR: No comment.

GCD: What is your favorite folktale?

SR: Little Red Riding Hood, because I think it’s important to take care of your grandmother.

GCD: What is your hair and makeup routine?

SR: I use lots of gel and no makeup, but only at camp. Camp is my ugliest place, but I love it! At home I wear lots of makeup and my hair is long and curly.

GCD: If you were being interviewed, what question would you want to be asked?

SR: “What do you love most about camp?”

GCD: Good quest. What’s your favorite camp cheer?

SR: Helene Helene Helene, because it’s named for my mom.

GCD: Lastly, do you believe in life after love?

SR: I think that there’s always love available in the world.

Revive the Art of the Written Word!

Grilled Cheese Daily is holding open auditions for next session’s staff! If you think you have what it takes, go to Juddville on July 10th at 3:07 AM, leave at 3:08 AM, and go exactly five feet and two centimeters into the woods behind the basketball court. There you will find a clue on where to go next. Have a great intersession, Camp Shalom! Reporters Jamie Dubow and Lauren Olster, signing off.
