The Times Digital Archive is an online, full-text facsimile of more than 200 years of The Times, one of the most highly regardedresourcesfor19thand20thCenturyhistory.This historical newspaper archive allows researchers an unparalleled opportunity to search and view every page of the best-known and most cited newspaper in the world in its original published context.

Evolution of The TimesInthelate1990s,theweekdayeditionsofThe Times began to include a new daily supplement: Times2. The “T2” supplement contained feature articles,ratherthanregularnews.Otherweeklysupplements were introduced in this period as well,including“BricksandMortar”(property),“TheGame”(football),andvariousSaturdaysupplements(includingthemagazineandSaturdayReview).

The Times also expanded the page count of individual issues in this period, adding more and more content to the main section. In 2004, it switched from broadsheet to tabloid format, shrinking the shape of the newspaper, but increasing the number of pages: a smaller newspaper, but larger issues.
