Abdul Baber arrested after illegal substanstances stashed at the top of the house. Pic: Imran AliAbdul Baber aged 23, Pakistani, also known as “Johnny”, has been involved in usage and selling of drugs for the past 5 years. He has already been convicted and earlier this week, a middle-aged lady made a complaint about the noise dis-truptions coming from that house. Also she made a statement that the smell of canabis was coming out of the house. The police invaded this road to inves-tigate what was going on. After finding canabis plants and cocaine stashed at the top, the police then dragged Abdul out the house and into the police van. Abdul was watching t.v with a couple a friends with canabis and cocaine bags on the table. After being guilty, Abdul could face upto 7yrs in prison but maybe released early due to good behaviour. His mates were released later that day after claiming they were just relaxing in the house and not doing anything. He claims to be living alone as his parents live a few blocks away from him. His parents were then questioned about Abdul and said ‘we didnt know anything about it’. A few

years ago, Abdul aged 18 was accused tobe selling drugs but did not have any kind of proof. After being accused of selling drugs, Abdul then continued thinking nothing’s going to happen. His court case will be held at the top mag-istrate court. His parents also claimed that they are really ashamed with him as he is the eldest son and meant to be the most responsible one, showing a good example to the youngers. Several citizens have said that they are happy to find out that he will be sentenced and the community is more drug free.

A dreadful week as Aston XI lost 3-5 to the home team Alum Rock FC. After the first 10 minutes Alum Rock FC took the lead with some sloppy defending from the away team. After a super ball through from Imran Ali to create a chance for the striker to tuck one in the net, the ball was handled by the defender. Anwar Ali (left wing) then stood up to take the penalty but was denied by a wonder save from the home keeper. This allowed them to carry on with the coun-ter attacks and put them up 3-0 before the half. After creating a few chances Aston XI couldn’t find the back off the net. Second half started brightly as Alum Rock FC was outplayed in the centre of the pitch. But still the defence were a little sloppy which allowed the home stricker to put another one in the net to make it 4-0. But Aston XI carried on with the wonderful pass and move play. The home’s side centre back was then taken off due to a hamstring injury. This boosted Aston XI performance up and helped them to score one back, 15 minutes after the half after a wonderful counter attack from the right hand side of the pitch. A through ball from the right back Ashraf Ali which was col-lected by Anwar Ali, and then a little brilliance from Anwar Ali to take on two players and then slot it in near post. A few minutes later, Javed Ali then put the ball into the back of the net due to a brilliant cross to his foot. 10 minutes towards the end Aston XI made it 4-3 thanks to the substitute Saliqur Rahman. this helped Aston XI to believe they can get a point or a win from this game. But then the ball was put into the net after a own goal from the centre back, 2 minutes from the end. This put Alum Rock FC 7th and Aston XI 8th. However As-ton XI next game is a cup game with Sparkhill Rangers which is going to be a tough game.For more news and information,
