I believe that parents are first and most important teacher a child will ever have in their lives. I am only here to help my student's achieve great things. I will never leave education up to chance. I assess my students, then diagnosis any problems we may have and then prescribe the most effective approach to completing a task. I challenge my students, everyday to do their best to demonstrate the things we cover in class. I will not accept anything less from you; together we can do great things. I believe that it is my job to educate while they are here at school. You should also know that since children never stop learning, I give many opportunities for them to demonstrate their skills at home and at school. All homework assignments and projects are DUE on the due date. I do not accept late work without penalty. I always give plenty of time to complete these assignments and therefore, I do not accept excuses, I just take points off. Another thing you should know: CLASS assignments do not go home as "homework." If the student does not complete their class assignment then there is a reason why. All students will complete the class assignments in class even if, I have to make other arrangements for them. I also have a class website and an online classroom that I will use as teaching tools. I encourage you to explore and become very familiar with them, because we will be using them a lot. No one has to have a computer to complete any assignment. If you do have a computer, it will help you stay informed on what is going on in our class! Think of these websites as another textbook or an interactive newsletter and of course, it is your window into our classroom. Students will have access to the website at school in the classroom and in the computer lab. Again, this website is just another resource I use to teach your child.

My name is Tina O’Neal.  I will be your Child’s homeroom teacher.
