Dear Parents Just a few things before the end of the term is upon us. Easter Service Thanks for those parents who celebrated our Easter Service. Well done Mrs Freymark, Mrs Peachey, Miss Brown, Miss Jung, Mrs McDonald and Miss McDonald and our talented pupils. Beach Educaon Thanks also to those parents who supported our recent visits to the beach to educate our children in safety near water. Mrs Pandaram Our new Room 5 teacher is an experienced teacher who will be joining our staff next term as we open up another 5 year old room. Memory Verse Tesng I will be tesng this week and am always impressed how well our students remember their verses. Chrisan Leaders Conference in Rotorua Mrs Stein & Mrs Erasmus are aending this conference from Wednesday 11th to Saturday 14th. April Holidays Term One finishes this Friday 13th April at 3pm. School re- opens for Term Two on Monday 30th April at 9am. Kelly Sports Holiday Programme Check out www.kellysports.co.nz to find out about the school holiday programmes available, including the programme at Target Road School. Wheels Day A leer went out last week about our Wheels Day on Friday. Please make sure the kids bring helmets with their equipment. It will be a fun day to end the term. There will also be a bake sale as a fundraiser for the Sports Camp in Term 3, so the kids can bring along a few coins to enjoy a treat. Lile Cooks Last month I was approached by a group called Lile Cooks. They are already operang at other schools. Their aim is to enable kids to make sen- sible choices by learning to cook, trying new flavours, developing new cooking skills and seng up the dishes ready to be put on the meal table. The session is 1 hour long. Each term they have a different theme. The cost would be $26 per child, each week. The session would be on a Saturday morning, in our tech block next to the Library, at 10am. It can be students only, or student and parent. They provide ingredients, aprons and recipes are emailed to the parents before the lesson starts. At this stage, we are enquiring as to who may be interested.
