NEWSLETTER “Learning Today For a Better Tomorrow”
Dear Parents,
This term is really motoring along. We have 5 weeks remaining. Our Grade 4 campers had a terrific time at
their camp in Phillip Island. They had a very warm day to start the camp followed by milder weather. I
would like to thank all teachers who attended camp for their outstanding planning and supervision of our
wonderful students.
Movie & Market Night Friday 4th December
Movie and Market Night is now just around the corner. We are very happy to announce that Villawood Properties is the major sponsor of Movie and Market Night having generously donated $1000 to our school. All children are welcome to come along to Movie and Market Night dressed in their favourite Movie character. There will be many interesting and fun things to purchase from our terrific market stalls. Come along from 6pm and discover what is on offer. 100% of the money raised from the sausage sizzle & drinks, fairy floss, ice cones, trash and treasure stall, glow lights, silent auction and raffle will go towards shading the school's two playgrounds. With summer around the corner the children will certainly enjoy the playground more so under shading.
Market Stall Holders
Its terrific to see a number of families complete their stall holder applications. There is still time for stall holder applications to be put in to the office but hurry as the closing date for applications is this Friday 30th October. Confirmation letters and invoices will be sent out in the first week of November to stall holder applicants.
Christmas Raffle
Our Christmas raffle will be done a little bit differently this year. Christmas raffle tickets will be distribut-ed on Monday 23rd November. On Wednesday December 9th we will have a casual clothes day and ask each student to bring a gold coin donation. The money raised from casual clothes day will be used to buy items for the Christmas hamper prizes. Parents are still welcome to donate goods for the hampers.
Pre-loved Donations for School Market Stall at Movie & Market Night
Do you have any of the following items that you would like to donate to the schools Pre-loved stall?
* DVD's/CD's * Books * Photo frames
* Jewellery * Plants * Board Games
* Puzzles *Collectables/gifts
Can all donations for second hand stall please be handed in to office area by November 27th?
2016 Information
If your child will be leaving our school at the end of the year can you please let the office know? It is very important information for our planning and our classroom compositions. Please also let me know if you know of a family that is looking to enrol at our school next year as we have limited space left.
We are missing a Grade 6 Windcheater. Please hand in to the office if you find it.
Regards Chris
