When we arrived at Oak street, we had to wait around 20 minutes for the mou- lanas and the people from the others mosques. We all set off at 11’o’clock, there was a great atmosphere. People were giving out mithai and many other sweets. Many groups were reciting the Takbeer and ‘Marhaba Ya Mustafa!’ I also joined in with them and I felt very joyful as I had been sending blessings to the Holy Prophet (may Peace be upon Him). At the end of the march, at Randal street, there was the red double-decker bus there. There was moulana Faruk and many other ulemas who we usually see on the Ummah channel. They all said a small speech on the jaloos and saying how good it was. Insha-Allah I can come next year and I can have the same spiritual experience like this year, next year! Children’s Milad Mehfil

On Saturday 26th of February 2011 chil-

dren from Mohaddis-e-Azam Mission took part in an exciting childrens Jalsa. As usual, it started with tilawat-e-Quran. Throughout the Jalsa children took part in praying naats, giving short speeches and spoke about the life of the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon Him). After the raffle we carried on with the Jalsa, the Jalsa finished at Isha time. When it was finished sweet bags were distributed to not only those who took part but to all the children who attended the Jalsa. Everyone thought it was a huge success. By Mukhtar Premi (10)

Suspense at the Raffle!

Before Maghrib, Shahid Bhai an-nounced that a raffle would take place after the Salah. Everyone was so excited that everyone was fidgeting like mad! Some teenage boys handed out the raffle tickets. My ticket number was ‘117’. All the raffle tickets were put into a box, Hafiz Tahir Molvi-saheb pulled out a raffle ticket and he read ‘number 77!’ Then a man told Shahid Bhai that a young girl called ‘Alesha’ had won. It was my sister. When the second ticket was pulled out Shahid Bhai said ‘I wonder if Ayesha will win the second raffle?’ The ticket was pulled out and said ‘Number 76’. I looked at my ticket and it was not even close! The same person told Shahid Bhai that ‘Ayesha’ had won the second raffle. It was my other sister! Hafiz Noor Muhammad pulled out the third raffle and exclaimed ‘Number 120’. When I looked at my raffle ticket I was only 3 numbers away! Then a young boy named Zayd stood up, so he won the third raffle. It was the last raffle, I really thought I would win but unfortunately I was wrong. Adnaan Farook won the last raffle. Insha-Allah I may get lucky next time! By Zainul Aabideen Patel (10)

Children eagerly await the Raffle results!
