Binational Center students celebrate their Cultural Heritage in Commemoration

Nicaragua Independence Day.

Presentation about Nicaragua and American Culture – city, history, traditional food, local

festivities and costumes.

The topic was ”Using Evidence in Academic Writing: Avoiding Plagiarism”.

The English Teachers received the certificate of participation from Audrey Huon-Dumentat – PAO from the American Embassy. 16 English teachers and students participated.

15 students elementary school from Isla de Ometepe visited the Central Bank Library and American Corner. The students had the opportunity to know the services available at the AC and the the different places at the Central Bank Library.

Asdrubal Canelo from ANPI President was the Guest Speaker in the Rading Club with

the topic “National Holidays: A Cultural Lesson. Participated 22 English Students and also we had the pleasant presence of Elizabeth Smith – English Language Fellow

in Nicaragua.

On september 26 was the Worshop for 15 English students and teachers. The guest speaker was Rodolfo Mendieta from BNC

and the topia was “Critical thinking: developing Speaking Skills through Critical

Thinking Techniques
