BRACKNELL RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB Affiliated to Rugby Football Union, Berks. R.F.U . and Middx. R.F.U. Clubhouse Lily Hill Park, Lily Hill Drive and G round: Bracknell, Berkshire, RG12 2UG Tel. 01344 424013 Founded 1955 NEWSLETTER October 2012 Page 1 www.Bracknellrugbyclub.com September 2012 After a summer of rebuilding throughout the senior club, driven by ‘One Club’ initiative the results and general atmosphere at the club has been outstanding during September. It certain- ly helps when you are winning! All four senior men’s teams have played this season, with 1 st , 2 nd & 4 th team dominating their league opposition to date. The Ladies have also started strongly, with 2 wins and 1 loss having gained promotion last season (See results). The U19 Academy has started with two fine performances. The attitude & dedication of the players, at all levels has been excellent, and numbers have been high on training nights. Competition for places has never been greater. Much of this has been down to the hard work of the coaching team, Rory Greenslade-Jones, Stuart (Sly) Silvester, Paul Hancock, Wesley Santos and Jo Parker, so a big thank you to them. The clubs youth is its future, and as such the Age Group Ambassador Scheme (AGA), is being launched in October and well ‘coaching the coaches sessions, which will bring the various sections of the club together. This is the foundation that the clubs future will be built on going forward. The highlights of the season so far has been, 6 of the best for Burchy against Cheltenham, 117 points against High Wycombe, a busy / bustling bar on a Saturday and Sunday. The only low has been the first sighting of the new club blazer in club colours. Not for the faint hearted…!!! Bracknell ladies

Having gained promotion into RFUW NC South East South 1, pre-season wasapproached with dedication and enthusiasm. A number of our experiencedplayers accepted an invitation from the new senior men’s coaching staff, to joinin with fitness training, this kicked off the “One club” ethos well.

We waved off 2 valued players to the retiring touch line, Sue Maving & Kellie Roberts to become first aider and assistantcoach, and welcomed what have already proved to be great new members; Yasmin, Becky, Lizzi, Kristi, Jenny B, JennyL, Rachael & Lauren. Our pre-season against Tabard Ladies was a great test, with players out injured it enabled us to experiment a little. Weare no longer in a development league so therefore playing to rules such as;· No rolling subs· No matching numbers· Loss of match if no contesting front-rowWe shook off the cobwebs and realised that we would be playing good competitive rugby this season that would test usall the way.Our first two league matches proved to be poles apart, we welcomed Ashford to Bracknell and showed them BracknellLadies at their most nervous yet determined, and celebrated a 42-5 victory. Just a week later, travelling with the minimum15 players to Guildford, we were hit by several injures throughout the game finally reducing us to 12 vs 15 players, yetstill fighting to cross the try line. A brave and hard fought game, final score 31-5.(L)We had 11 players at the County trials last weekend and we look forward to Tonbridge at home on Sunday 7th October.

Your PIN, Your Callin the same way that the rugby team uses

different codes for differenIn the modern game, teams areusing multiple codes for line out calls that provide them with anadvantage and enable them to invoke the plays that they haverehearsed during training. However once the code is understoodby the opposition or a different strategy is required then theyneed to have more than a single code. Whilst this may seem likea password and everyone knows how to protect theirinformation using them, there has been a recent analysis of thePIN numbers that people use to access their bank accounts.Position PIN Frequency of use
