As part of their topic ‘All Around the World’, FS2 went to Mushrif Park. It was so exciting for them because it was their first trip and they got to go on the school bus. Once the children arrived, they looked in the different houses from around the world, which were all very different. Then, they had a picnic and after that, played in the park. It was great fun and the trip even had the added excitement of thunder and rain!

Year 1 spent time studying the story ‘Jack and the

Beanstalk’ and discussed the different emotions they found

throughout the story. Here they are practicing the different feelings they

discovered. In maths they have been using beebots as a

directional language focus.

They have learned the different parts of

the flower in Science.

They then used the wonderful ‘Talk for Writing’ skill to retell

the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. They created

symbols and actions to help them remember the story.

Year 1 have also had an amazing trip to the aquarium in Dubai Mall. Here they are

chilling watching the different marine life swim around. Very peaceful.

This weekend Ali Yasser, from 4 Turquoise, defended his title as a UAE karate champion. He is now representing the UAE on the National team. What an achievement! Sheikh Zayed was not one to

believe in limitations; this is one of the traits of a true leader.
