As we near conclusion of the fall sports season, I want to extend Nighhawk Nation appreciation to all of the parents/guardians and community members who are loyal and continuously help to make Nighthawk athletics a great experience for student-athletes. I have witnessed amazing parent support and am cognizant of the fact that we would not be turning this corner in Nighthawk history without you. Together, we will continue to work and make this a great Nighthawk athletic experience. We are grateful for parent support. Winter Athletics As we embark on the winter season, it is important to ensure that your student- athlete is registered for the season and sport in FamilyID. In addition, if your student-athlete does not have a physical on file, they will need to do so before participating in practice. The official start date fro Winter Athletics is November 12. This year, Northfield will offer Girls and Boys Basketball and Swimming. There will be an option for wrestling and those interested will compete for and practice at the Far Northeast. Coach Ezekiel Ocansey will be returning for his fourth year as the Head Coach of Boys Basketball. Also entering his fourth year as the Head Swim Coach is Rich Leduc. Entering his first year as Head Coach of Girls Basketball, is Ernest Jones. SoccerSeasonComesToAnEndCoachKeeverandBoysSoccerhaveworkedhardovertheseasonandhavebeeninvolvedinseveralclosematcheswithhighpower4Aand5Ateams.Thefutureisbrightforboyssoccer,astherewereseveralunderclassmenwhocontributedtobigwinsandexcitement.Asthecurtaincloses,wesaygoodbyetoourseniorswhopavedthewayacademicallyandathleticallyandprovidedvaluablementorshipovertheyear.SeniorsincludeDiarrassouba(Shaq)Hinzanchiek,CamronArgent,CarrsonKeller,AdamSnowden,ErnestoGutierrez-Vargas,GabeArreola,andEvanLiu.
