2020 School Captains

During this week, the selection process for the 2020 captains was completed. Mr Poliviou and the staff

feel extremely proud of each and every one of the applicants and we found making a final selection very

difficult, as all of the applicants are very fine young members of the Chalcot family.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the 2020 School Captains are Rhianna Samuels & Caylan Minator.

The 2020 School Vice-Captains are Isabella Boustead & Alex Ialongo. Mr Poliviou and staff look forward

to working with these students as part of our Student Leadership Team in 2020.

I also wish to thank and acknowledge the 2019 School Captains Amanda Fashcah & Daniel Williams and

School Vice-Captains Talia Mudalige and Lucas Bracamante. They have fulfilled all aspects of their

leadership roles with pride and to a high standard; I greatly appreciate their support and know that their

experiences will put them in good stead for the future.

Thankyou Helpers Morning Tea

This week, the staff were able to thank members of the Chalcot family who have helped our students in so

many different ways throughout the year. Staff put on a lovely morning tea and it was a great opportunity

to sit and relax together.

I know that many of our helpers were unable to attend and I just want to say a very special thank you to

everyone who has donated their time and effort; we really do rely on your support which comes in many

shapes and forms.

Basically, it’s all about the children, and we are so grateful for the significant contributions that you make.

On behalf of the staff and students, THANK YOU!!!!!!

Concert under the Oaks

Our Concert under the Oakes will be held next Thursday 12th December. The evening starts at 5.45pm

with a Chalcot family picnic. The Parent Club will be selling sausages in bread and limited amount of

drinks, but we do recommend that families bring along their own food and drinks too. The Parent Club

will start serving at 5.45pm and conclude at 6.30pm. Please note, no food or drinks will be sold after

6.30pm. Parent Club will also be having their annual Christmas Special effort on the night with many

hampers to be won.

Please provide your child with a towel or small cushion to sit upon and chairs or a rug for yourselves.

The concert will commence at 6.45pm and we anticipate the evening will conclude at

approximately 8.30pm. The Chalcot Choir and each class will be performing special items for

you to enjoy. A jolly old man in a large red suit said he is coming too!!!!

In line with the Department of Education policies and procedures, this Chalcot Lodge family night is

strictly an alcohol free evening and that smoking is banned within four metres of any entrance and within

the school. All students attending must be accompanied by their parent or guardian.

Prep and Year 6 Transition Day - Tuesday 10th December

On Tuesday 10th December, we will be holding our final Prep transition session for the year. The children

will be starting off with a BBQ with their Buddies, followed by fun games and activities. We look forward

to seeing our new Chalcot family members Tuesday 10th December at 2.00pm.

As part of the Department of Education’s Transition Program, our Year 6 students will be visiting their

new Secondary Schools. Year 6 students are not required to attend Chalcot Lodge Primary School on this

day. If your child has already taken part in their formal Secondary School transition day, they are still not

required to attend school on this day.
