Buyantanshi Women Empowerment - continued

embraced me with open arms and kind-

ness. Once we get started in the classes,

it’s often hard to stop and transition to the

next thing. They are so eager and hungry

to learn more, support one another and

have fresh hope for a different tomorrow.

We look forward to watching these ladies

grow and eventually taking on new

groups of women.

more and more comfortable, they are

getting the courage to speak out and

share their knowledge. It’s great to see

personalities come out and watch them

support one another.

In the knitting and sewing portion of the

(connued from page 1) day, we split the ladies into two groups.

Our intention is to get them started with

one skill then cross-train them into the

other. The sewing project is making

beautiful mats that have pictures or writ-

ing on them.

The other set of ladies are working on

knitting projects for children. Our first

simple project was toy bunnies and wow!

these bunnies are multiplying! Pink,

brown, blue…they are very cute and

each one is unique. We are also making

colourful children’s balls. Some of these

toys will be sold locally and some

abroad. As skills improve, we will pro-

gress to children’s clothes—which are

very popular locally and can bring in a

regular income for the ladies.

From a nervous start, it has been a bless-

ing and a joy to support these ladies as

they expand their skill sets. They have

teers from Denmark helping us out, a

children's crusade will be introduced this

time. We are all very excited and expect

more wonderful miracles for people of all

ages this time.

We appreciate all our partners, and fri-

ends of Dream Factory Ministries, for

praying, giving and standing with us in

this eternally rewarding work of God.

Thank you so much. Remember you can

read more about this ministry, see more

pictures and video clips on our website

On the 22th to 25th of May 2013, Dream

Factory Ministries held its first crusade in

Ndola's Mushili grounds. It was exciting

to see the impact of transformed lives

through the power of the gospel. There is

no greater joy than to see a person recei-

ve Jesus Christ and through Him be trans-

formed and renewed.

Preaching the gospel and breaking new

ground often means challenges. The first

day was full of challenges, like power-

cuts, a generator that couldn’t keep up

and even rain (in the middle of the dry

season). However the Dream Factory

Team and the local pastors worked hard,

stayed focused and through prayer, over-

came each obstacle making the following

three crusade meetings a wonderful suc-

cess. Throughout the week, we saw atten-

dance increase, and on the last day, more

than a thousand people came to receive

the Word of God—it was a fantastic way

to finish Dream Factory Ministries’ first

Crusade.

The result was that more than 100 people

gave their life to Jesus Christ and we saw

wonderful miracles take place including a

woman who was healed from breast can-

cer (medically verified). It was also en-

couraging to see the local Churches wor-

king hand in hand in order for the King-

dom to expand. More than a month later,

we continue to hear wonderful news from

the Crusade area—how local Churches

are stirred up, excited, and of course are

doing a remarkable work following up

with the newly saved people.

July 10-13 we will hold our second crusa-

de here in Ndola. With a team of volun-Peder preaching at the crusade

Dream Factory helped Halet and her

family by giving her a micro loan of

Kwacha 500. Halet feels her life has

changed. She work hard at her busi-

ness and attends the Dream Factory

classes every Tuesday. She is lear-

ning how to improve her business and

she is paying back her loan without

any problems. Her living conditions

have improved—her family has a

good mattress to sleep on in a better

house. Her life is totally changed and

she is smiling again. She is so thankful

to Dream Factory for bringing life and

freedom in her life.

Check out a video on our website with

two of the women in our project.

Halet Mutale is part of Dream Factory’s

Buyantanshi Women Empowerment Pro-

ject. She has a small shop where she sells

things like plastic plates, cups and

dishes, grocery items and seasonal

things.

Halet knows what it is to work hard and

enjoys doing so at her business. Halet

grew up on her own after her parents

died when she was 12 years old. When

she was only 16 years old, she got mar-

ried to a 42-year-old man. Her husband

did not take care of her—he abandoned

her with two children and ran away to the

Congo.

She took care of the children as a single

mother. Problems worsened as the house

that she was renting didn’t have a proper

roof, only cardboard. She and the chil-

dren slept on the floor, in a sack. Her life

was terrible and she cried almost every

day for God to intervene into her life
