Dear All,

According to publication of Security Study Center of Kosovo (SSCK), the Kosovo Security Force is announced to be the most trusted

Institution to Kosovo`s citizens. Always according to the results of Kosovar Security Barometer, the KSF is shown to be the most reliable

security Institution in the country. 78% of the questioned citizen’s trust the KSF. The trustiness from the previous year is increased for 11

%. This thing has impacted also on increase of trustiness in the north of our country.

In the tenth anniversary of the Kosovo s Independence, at boulevard “Zahir Pajaziti” in Pristina was held the key manifestation where the

KSF paraded marking the tenth anniversary of Kosovo’s independence.

The KSF members are having continues successes, thus the Kosovo Security Force officer, Lt. Albert Asllani, after a six-months training

in the military school, United States Army Cyber Center of Excellence” in Fort Gordon of the United States of America (USA) was

honored with the award “Colonel Alan C. Dexter, OBE, Award”. Also, the second place in the National Marathon of Albania was taken

by soldier, Alban Fazliu.

A contingent of the KSF is deployed in Republic of Albania to provide assistance to eliminate consequences after flooding. The KSF

Engineering battalion has assembled a mobile bridge ’’Mabey Johnson” in Zemlak village of the Korça county. In the German KFOR

base in Prizren was held the hand-over ceremony for large contingent with sanitary material and other equipment from the German

hospital to the KSF. Value of donation reaches amount of 140.000 Euro.

During the visit in Paris I had a meeting with State Secretary at Ministry of Armies of France, Mrs. Geneviève Darrieussecq.

During February I hosted Assistant Secretary of Defense of the U. S , Mr. Robert S. Karem, then the Minister of Defense of Republic of

Macedonia, Mrs. Radmilla Shekerinska-Jankovska, Chief of Diplomatic Mission of Czech Republic in our country, Mr.Ivo Silhavy,

Ambassador of Republic of Bulgaria in Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Nedialtcho Dimitrov Dantchev, IOWAs National Guard Commander

(USA), Major General, Timothy Orr, Canadian Ambassador for Kosovo resident in Croatia, Mr. Daniel Maksymiuk, Finland ambassador

in Republic of Kosovo , Ms. Pia Stjernvall. Within the frame of realization of the humanitarian projects and based on cooperation of

Ministry for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF) with country’s Institutions and cooperation agreement with Klina Municipality, IOM,

Ministry for Community and Return and Embassy of United Kingdom, The KSF Engineering Battalion have started the works on fixing

the road in length of 400 meters in the village Budisalc of Klina Municipality.

Kosovo Security Force the most trusted to

Kosovo`s citizens

Thursday, 1st Feb 2018. Kosovo Security Study

Center (KSSC) has made publication of the seventh

edition of the Kosovar security survey and based on

results the KSF is the most trusted Security Institution

in the country. 78% of citizens canvassed trust on the

KSF. Trustiness form the previous year has marked an

increase of 11%.This has impacted trustiness growth

in the north part of our country.

Due to the Kosovo Security survey, the Kosovo

Security Force on canvass made with Kosovo/ citizens

at the end of 2017 year has shown to be the first with

78%, whereas as of regions the Mitrovica, south part

has shown to mostly trust on it

The KSF parade on 10th Anniversary of

marking the Kosovo`s Independence

Sunday 18 Feb 2018. - In the tenth Anniversary of

declaration of the Independence of Republic of

Kosovo dated 18.02.2018 in the boulevard “Zahir

Pajaziti” in Pristina held a major manifestation where

drilled Units of the Kosovo Security Force and

Kosovo Police have paraded.

Attended at the stand: Minister of the KSF, Mr.

Rrustem Berisha, COMKSF, and LTG. Rrahman

Rama, IOWA`s National Guard, Gen. Timothy Orr

and Senior Officer of the Ministry and the KSF.

Also , the manifestation was attended by the state

leaders of Kosovo as well many other state delegations

and statesmen, presidents, prime ministers, ministers

and a lot of the diplomatic guests, KFOR and dozens

of the Kosovo\s citizens.

Lt. Albert Asllani announced to be the best

international officer in “Career Captain”

course in the USA

Wednesday 07 Feb 2018. The Kosovo Security Force

Officer , Lt. Albert Asllani after a six-months training at

Military School ,,United States Army Cyber Center of

Excellence” in Fort Gordon of the United States of

America (USA) was honored with a price “Colonel Alan

C. Dexter, OBE, Award”. This price is awarded to the

distinguished students who show high academic

achievements as well professionalism and leadership

while studying. Lt. Albert Asllani after returning from the

USA will go on with service to Land Force Command

(LFC) by transferring gained experiences from this

specialized training in the best of promotion and upgrade of the KSF professionalism.

The KSF engineers assemble metallic

bridge ’’Mabey Johnson’’ in Albania

Thursday, 08 Feb 2018. The first day (1st Feb 2018) a

contingent of the KSF by order of the COMKSF,

LTG. Rrahman Rama traveled to Republic of Albania

to assist Albania in repairing the consequences after

floods. The KSF Engineering Battalion started

building of mobile bridge ’’Mabey Johnson” in the

village Zemlak of Korça county. The KSF engineers

are successfully continuing to work on the bridge

which will serve not only to the villagers but to the

entire the area. The operation is being conducted

without any problem whereas the KSF members are

giving their maximum in building of this bridge to

make this bridge as soon as possible. The KSF

engineers support by Armed Forces of Republic of

Albania, as well the Korça County are at high level.

Inauguration of mobile bridge built by the

KSF in Albania

Thursday 15 Feb 2018. The solemn ceremony is made

today in village Zemblak of Korça county – Albania

built by the KSF Engineers. Attended: Minister of

Defense of Republic of Albania , Mrs. Olta Xhaçka,

Dep/Minister of MKSF, Mr. Burim Ramadani,

COMKSF, Rrahman Rama, Chief of Staff of AF of

Rep. of Albania, BG. Bardhyl Kollçaku, Kosovo`s

ambassador in Tirana, Sylë Ukshini, KSF Attaché

Col. Enver Dugolli, Senior Officer of Albania Army ,

leaders of Korça and people of villages around.

The KSF Engineering Battalion in Albania started

building of the mobile bridge ,,Mabey Johnson” in

village Zëmblak Korça county on 3rd Feb and

completed its building on record time. The bridge has

a length of 54 meters is built on Devoll river and is an

important link for movement on daily basis for dozens

of citizens of the Korça county villages.

Soldier Alban Fazliu, the second one in the

National Cross-country Marathon in

Albania

Wednesday, 14 Feb 2018. Upon invitation of Ministry

of Defense of Republic of Albania on the occasion of

marking International Day of Military Sports “CISM

DAY-RUN FOR PEACE’’, in marathon held on

12.02.2018, in Tirana took part 10 members of the

Kosovo Security Force. The competition runs in two

disciplines , 10 km for male runners and 6 km for

female-runners.

In the individual category first place was taken by

athlete of Army of Albania ,Capt. Bledar Mesi, the

second place was taken by the soldier of the KSF

Alban Fazliu, soldier of Rapid Reaction Brigade,

whereas on the team category, the KSF was placed the

third place. In Tirana`s marathon attended soldiers,

NCOs and officers of all ranks and Commands, Units

and barracks of Albania Armed Forces. The marathon

took place at artificial lake hills in Tirana.

KFOR German Contingent gave a donation

to the KSF

Friday, 02 Feb 2018. In the KFOR German base in Prizren

is held hand-over ceremony of large contingent with

sanitary materials and equipment of the German hospital to

the KSF. Attended: Dep / Minister of Ministry for Kosovo

Security Force, Mr. Agim Çeku, Commander of Kosovo

Security Force, LTG. Rrahman Rama, Chief of KFOR ,

BG. Lawrence Powell, Director of NATO Liaison

Advisory Team (NALT), BG. Ralf Hoffmann, the

Contingent Commander of 48 Germans of the KFOR, LTC.

Hans Jurgen Elsen and KFOR and the KSF Officers. The

COMKSF, LTG. Rama and NALT Director, General Ralf

Hoffmann signed off hand – over report of the donation

from KFOR German contingent in Kosovo. On this

occasion, German Bundeswer said we never missed to

assist the KSF and the donation will provide help on

upgrading of the medical capabilities of the KSF. The

donation reaches value of 140.000 euro.

Visit of Assistant to Defense Secretary of

USA, Mr. Robert S. Karem in MKSF Monday – 19 Feb 2018. Minister of KSF Rrustem

Berisha and Commander of the KSF , LTG. Rrahman

Rama, dated 18.02.2018 hosted the Assistant of

Secretary of Defense, Robert S.

Karem.

On this occasion, Minister Berisha thanked the USA

for the overall assistance given to the KSF as well

Personnel engagement and for very intensive and

overall cooperation. This cooperation reaches the top

especially the KSF cooperation having with IOWA`s

National Guard. Commander of the KSF, LTG.

Rrahman Rama, on his side mentioned that the KSF is

a professional Force with western concept and basis on

American doctrine and concept.

Guest from the USA, Mr, Robert S. Karim extended

pleasure for reception saying to felt an extreme

pleasure being here for tenth Anniversary of Kosovo`s

independence. Also, he talked on great interest of the

USA for development of security area in Balkan and

wider. He highly appreciated commitment towards the

transformation process of the KSF to be transparent

and on constitutional basis and in coordination with

USA and other strategic partners.

Minister of KSF, Mr. Rrustem Berisha

hosted the Minister of Defense of the

Republic of Macedonia, Mrs. Shekerinska -

Jankovska

Friday 02 Feb 2018. With official ceremony,

Minister of Kosovo Security Force, Mr.

Rrustem Berisha hosted for a visit the Minister

of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia,

Mrs. Radmilla Shekerinska-Jankovska. Firstly

two Ministers hold a tete a tete meeting

afterwards a joint meeting of both delegations

where was talked for good bilateral relations,

concrete activities as well to keep having

relations in the future. On this occasion,

Minister Berisha thanked Minister Shekerinska

on good and concrete cooperation with

Ministry of Defense of Macedonia for

readiness of cooperation extension and

exchanges in other training, education and

field exercises etc.

Monday, 12 Feb 2018. Minister of Kosovo Security

Force, Mr. Rrustem Berisha hosted for a working

meeting the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria

in Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Nedialtcho Dimitrov

Dantchev with collaborators.

Minister Berisha and ambassador Dantchev talked on

good relations between both countries as well chance

to make development, promotion and intensify their

relations in the security area and in the other areas of

joint interest for both countries.

Minister Berisha hosted the Ambassador of

the Czech Republic, Mr. Silhavy

Monday 05 Feb 2018. Minister for the Kosovo

Security Force, Mr.Rrustem Berisha hosted for a

meeting Chief of Diplomatic Mission of Czech

Republic in our country, Mr. Ivo Silhavy with

collaborators.

During the meeting was discussed about the

exceptionally good relations between the Republic of

Kosovo and Czech Republic as well need for

development, promotion and intensify these relations

in the security area among both countries in the future.

Mr.Rrustem Berisha was hosted by the

State Secretary at Ministry of Armies of

Wednesday, 14 Feb 2018. Minister for Kosovo

Security Force, Mr. Rrustem Berisha was hosted today

in Paris by the State Secretary at Ministry of Armies

of France, Ms. Geneviève Darrieussecq.

In a friendly meeting were mentioned excellent

relations among both countries and talked about

bilateral cooperation in the defense and security area.

Minister Berisha informed French Minister on

achievements and objectives of the KSF.

Ms. Darrieussecq congratulated Minister on successes

specifically in integration of non-majority community.

France is an important partner of Kosovo and visit of

Minister Berisha is done in the eve of the 10th

Anniversary of Kosovo`s independence to Express

gratitude to France for its contribution in the Kosovars

path.

Minister of MKSF Rrustem Berisha hosted the

Ambassador of Canada Daniel Maksymiuk

Friday, 16 Feb 2018. Minister for Kosovo Security

Force, Mr. Rrustem Berisha, in the tenth Anniversary

of Kosovo`s independence, today hosted the

Ambassador of Canada to Kosova, resident in Croatia

, Mr. Daniel Maksymiuk with collaborators.

Minister Berisha thanked Ambassador Maksymiuk

and through him Government and Minister of

Defense for the support and unsaved help of the

Canadian Government to the KSF for the warm

reception at Halifax Summit in Canada as well given

contribution of the Canadian army within the KFOR

as well cooperation among both ministries of Kosovo

and Canada.

On his part Ambassador Daniel Maksymiuk after

congratulating Minister on tenth Anniversary of

Kosovo`s Independence thanked him for reception and

confirmed commitment of Canada`s Government to

growth and deep cooperation among both Ministries

and two respective countries.

Minister of KSF hosted the Commander of

IOWA`s National Guard

Friday, 16 Feb 2018. Minister for Kosovo Security

Force, Mr. Rrustem Berisha hosted today for an

officially meeting the commander of IOWA`s National

Guard (USA), Major General Timothy Orr with

collaborators. General Orr has come to take part in the

tenth Anniversary of Kosovo`s independence.

Minister Berisha has thanked the USA, IOWA`s

national Guard and General Orr for supporting,

material and professional assistance that is given to the

KSF. During last year, we used to have 110 bilateral

and joint activities with IOWA`s National Guard.

Minister Berisha addressed to General Orr saying that

it’s a special pleasure to have you here for the tenth

Anniversary of Kosovo`s independence because this

anniversary is also yours. You are at your second

home”.

On his side, Commander of IOWA`s National Guard,

General Orr, to Minister Berisha, COMKSF, LTG.

Rrahman Rama and all Officers and NCOs, soldiers of

the KSF wished the tenth anniversary of Kosovo`s

Independence. Also, he congratulated Minister on

successes and promised deepening of cooperation in

all areas with joint interest for the KSF.

General Rama decorated Col. Metin Sinci

Friday 16 Feb 2018. Minister Rrustem Berisha and

Commander of KS, LT. Gen.Rrahman Rama, in a

ceremony held at Ministry of KSF premises honored

with gratitude and decoration Turkish Colonel, Metin

Sincin, Advisor to Minister Berisha and COMKSF,

Gen. Rama, after successful completion of assignment

to Minister for Kosovo Security Force.

Minister Berisha awarded a gratitude to Col. Sinci for

successful service in the KSF, for his support to the

KSF in all areas and contribution in deepening of

cooperation among the KSF and Turkey.

Whereas COMKSF, Lt. Gen.Rrahman Rama, has

thanked Col.Sinci for commitment and cooperation as

well his contribution in the professional upgrading of

the KSF.General Rama awarded a medal to Col. Sinci

for selfless work given to the KSF.

Minister Rrustem Berisha hosted

Ambassador of Finland, Pia Stjernvall

Friday 23rd Feb 2018. The Finland Ambassador in

Republic of Kosovo, Ms. Pia Stjernvall paid a visit to the

Ministry for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF), who was

hosted by the Minister of KSF Rrustem Berisha and

Dep/Minister Burim Ramadani.

During the meeting was discussed about engagements of

finding possible ways of cooperation among both

Ministries for involvement to make sign a cooperation

Agreement among the MKSF and the Ministry of Defense

of Finland.

Minister Rrustem Berisha hosted a

delegation of “Indo-Asian European

Association on Business, Culture and

Friendship”

Friday, 23 Feb 2018. Today, Minister for Kosovo

Security Force, Mr. Rrustem Berisha hosted a

delegation of businessmen from Bulgaria “Indo-

Asian European Association on Business, Culture

and Friendship” accompanied by President of

Kosovar Alliance of Businesses, Mr. Agim Shahini.

Minister Berisha has thanked the businessmen from

Bulgaria and in this occasion he informed them on

good cooperation that Kosovo has with Bulgaria and

current contacts between MKSF and Ministry of

Defense of Bulgaria and a mutual will to develop a

further intensive cooperation. This cooperation will

facilitate much more preparation of conditions for

signing an Agreement of Cooperation among Ministry

of Defense of Bulgaria and MKSF. On their side

representatives of “Indo- Asian European

Association on Business, Culture and Friendship”

expressed to be thankful for reception of Berisha, as

well informed with military products specifications,

opportunities of their companies from Bulgaria or

other countries that they represented.

Commander of the KSF, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama

reported to Parliamentary Commission on Internal

Affairs, Security and Supervision of the KSF

Wednesday 07 Feb 2018.Today, Commander for

Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lt. Gen. Rrahman

Rama reported to Parliamentary Commission on

Internal Affairs, Security and Supervision of the KSF

for overall achievements of the KSF for the year 2017.

Meeting was opened by the President Commission,

Mr. Haxhi Shala who thanked COMKSF, Lt. Gen.

Rrahman Rama for his readiness to report in front of

the Commission on the KSF achievements for the year

2017.The COMKSF, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama on his

summarized report in front of the member`s

commission said:, Based on objectives of Minister and

the COMKSF priorities given in Directive in the year

2017, as well Operational plan of activities and

trainings, the KSF completed calendar year 2017, and

based on results achieved in all areas can be concluded

that this year has followed the KSF with a lot of

successes at home and abroad. These successes are

due to professional commitment and engagement of

the KSF members at all levels”.

President Hashim Thaçi decorated Lt. Gen

Rrahman Rama with Presidential Medal

Tuesday, 27 Feb 2018. President of Republic of

Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, yesterday decorated

Commander fo Kosovo Security Force (KSF),

Lt.Gen.Rrahman Rama with presidential Medal on the

occasion of marking tenth anniversary of Kosovo`s

Independence.

This decoration was made upon given contribution for

freedom and independence of Kosovo.

Presidential medal on the tenth anniversary of the

Independence is given to people who gave

contribution for freedom and independence of Kosovo.

The KSF Commander received a congratulation

letter from Commander of U.S Army for Europe

Sunday 18 Feb 2018. Commander of U.S Army for

Europe General Curtis M. Scaparroti on occasion of

the tenth Anniversary of Kosovo\s Independence sent

a congratulation letter to the COMKSF, Lt. Gen.

Rrahman Rama.

COMKSF receives a thanksgiving letter

from Korça prefect

Thursday, 22 Feb 2018.On the occasion of assembling

metallic bridge in village Zëmblak of Korça from the

KSF Engineers, Korça`s mayor Dhori Spirollari, on

his name and Korça`s citizens thanked the KSF

Commander for provision of assistance for the bridge

assemble on the Devolli river. |In the letter addressed

to the Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama, the Korça`s mayor,

Mr.Dhori Spirollari said|:”It`s my pleasure that on

behalf of people of Korça`s region and I, personally

extend thanks and maximal gratitude for the hard work

and professionalism shown by the KSF in construction

of the Zemblak bridge on river Devoll which was

damaged by floods caused by heavy rain falls in the

month of November of the last year”.

Mayor Spirollari urther wrote:“Thanks to the quick

intervention and support by the KSF in collaboration

with Armed Forces of Ministry of Defense of

Republic of Albania, the new bridge MJ of modern

parameters will bring help for dozens of citizens of

Maliqi field and Devolli`s valley , businesses of zone,

citizens to Korça`s region and wider.”

Dhori Spirollari talking about collaboration with the

KSF Engineers wrote: It was our honor to talk on

cooperation with the KSF engineers wrote: “It was in

our honor to work with committed people because the

work done by the Kosovo Security Force is evidently

and an positive example for other cooperation in order

to avoid consequences and minimize damages which

might cause natural disaster.”

General Enver Cikaqi attended the

European Conference of Training Centers

Wednesday 21 Feb 2018. Commander of Doctrine and

Training (TRADOC) Enver Cikaqi and Chief of Operation

of Land Force Command held in Grafenwoher of

Germany dated 13-16.02.2018. In the European

Conference of Training Centers among 28 representative

of various countries, for the first time the Kosovo Security

Force took part. Purpose of arranging and having this

conference was presentation of training centers and their

programs which they possess.

Whereas the KSF participation to this conference has

provided good opportunities of knowing of the new

procedures and programs which can be applied in its Units

in the future.

During the conference proceedings a special contribution

was given by militaries from various countries who

discussed on training capabilities and improvement of

opportunities of these capabilities with experiences

exchange among themselves.

Road fixing has commenced in

Budisalc of Klina

Wednesday 14 Feb 2018. Based on cooperation of the

Ministry for Kosovo Security Force (MKSF) with

country Institution and agreement of Klina

Municipality , IOM, Ministry for Community Returns

and United Kingdom Embassy , the KSF Engineering

started today work on road fixing in village Budisalc

of Klina Municipality in a length of 400 meters

In this event attended the United Kingdom Ambassador,

Ruairi O’Conell, Mayor of Klina Zenun Elezaj, LFC

Dep/Commander , BG. Gëzim Hazrolli, IOM

representative, Ministry for Community, KFOR and the

KSF Officers. The KSF within its mission still pay key

attention to implementation of various humanitarian

projects which are in service of community regardless

ethnicity. Project`s goal is to facilitate movement of

inhabitant to Budisalc Monastery.

U. S Air Force Band performs together with

The KSF

Wednesday 14 Feb 2018. Today , in the hall of

Ministry for Kosovo Security Force in front of MKSF

employees, on the occasion of the tenth Anniversary

of Kosovo`s Independence , Musical Band of U. S Air

Force Band of U. S Army Europe have executed

varicolored music. attended Dep/Minister, Burim

Ramadani, COMKSF, Lt. Gen. Rrahman Rama, BG.

Zymer Halimi, MKSF General Secretary, Dr.

Shkëlzen Sylaj as well MKSF and the KSF staff. On

this occasion, Dep/Minister Burim Ramadani and

COMKSF, Lt. Gen Rrahman Rama have thanked the

Air Force Band U. S Army Europe for excellent

performance in the very important event in Kosovo

such as marking of the tenth Anniversary of the

Kosovo`s independence.

The KSF was visited from students of

many schools

Thursday, 15 Feb 2018. In frame of marking the tenth

anniversary of Kosovo`s Independence, a lot of

primary schools students and other pre- schools

institutions yesterday have visited “Adem Jashari”

barrack of the Kosovo Security Force.

Department for Military-Civil Relations organized

reception of the students at barrack premises ,,Adem

Jashari” offering them to see achievements of the KSF

and arrangements which are made in marking of the

tenth anniversary. The students were quite interested

to know about work of the KSF members. They

closely saw the cadet`s work and Force Police, also

have visited library afterwards performed a movie

with the KSF activities.

KSF members are certified on training

Peaceful Operations”

Tuesday 20 Feb 2018. In the Kosovo Security Force

(KSF) from 12-16.02.2018 was held the training,

“Peaceful Operation” with participation of 25

members from all the KSF Units.

Training was provided by Turkish KFOR Instructors

who gave lectures on topics dealt with peaceful

operations.

Col. Haziri, at the end demanded from the KSF

members that the gained knowledge by Turkish

Academy Instructors to pass it to the Units where they

serve.

Whereas, Commander of Turkish Contingent in

Kosovo, Col. Sinan BARIM, has thanked Chief of

Staff of the LFC Naim Haziri and all attendees of this

ceremony. “We, as headship of the Turkish KFOR in

Kosovo feel pleased to have had a chance helping the

KSF and ready for this cooperation to be continued in

the future between two countries”. Ceremony ended

with awarding of gratitude and certificates for

instructors and members who were trained.

The RRB members started the for search

and rescue course in KSF Training Center

of Pomozotin

Monday 26 Feb 2018.Today, at SAR Training Center

of the KSF barrack “Young Europeans” in Pomozotin,

started SAR basic training for eight members of the

Rapid Reaction Brigade.

While in training candidates will learn search

techniques for victims in destroyed buildings or half-

destroyed. Also, they will learn for techniques of

cutting and drilling which remove remaining in order

to have an easy access to the destroyed structures for

helping the isolated victims.

The first medical aid is a very important part of

training. The candidates will learn to make stable the

victims before removing from the dangerous zones for

medical assistance and transport them to hospital.

The KSF delegation in Germany on seminar

,,Leading with Military Forces in

Democracy

Wednesday 07 Feb 2018. In frame of excellent

cooperation among the MKSF/KSF with Germany

Armed Forces and continuously realization of the

specialized training in Germany a delegation of

MKSF/KSF is staying for a visit. The delegation is

leaded by BG. Zymer Halimi, Director of Directorate

of Operations in MKSF. This delegation is attending

seminar, Leading with Military Forces in Democracy”

Delegation of the KSF was received by senior officers

of Bundesver, Germany as well has realized visits in

many important institutions of the German state.

The KSF delegation is accompanied by the KSF

Attaché in Federal Republic of Germany, Col. Xhavit

Sadria.

This training and many other trainings being

implemented in Germany are a result of good

cooperation among Kosovo and Germany.
