A. Special Meeting for SciTechFest, 2007

Patna May 12, 2007: BiharBrains organized

special meting at BBSC office, Patna. Prof

Santosh Kumar who took responsibility to

organize this techfest was also present. During

meeting, members discussed on the various

issues including Strategies & Planning (Road

Map), Budget, Support and Sponsorship etc.

After long discussion, it was decided that Prof

Santosh Kumar will submit his report on the

matter mentioned above after discussion with all

concern. On the basis of his report, BB will move

forward for organizing the same techfest. This is

here to inform that Prof Santosh Kumar was HOD

in Water Resource dept of CWRS, NIT, Patna and

also served as principal in Jaipur based

engineering college.

B. Bihar Brains Registration Okayed by Bihar Govt in the name of BBrains

Development Society.

Patna May 12, 2007: This date will be

remembered in a history of BiharBrains as BB

Day as Bihar Govt Okayed to give it a status of

as society in the name of BBrains Development

Society. Registrar of the dept of Registration

signed over the document and asked Bihar Brains

officials to collect the certificate of Registration.

BiharBrains accepted the certification from the

dept. It took more than two years for BiharBrains

to become registered society since it was applied

in the month of Jan 2005. All BiharBrains members were delighted for this

accomplishment. Sri Bibhuti Bikramaditya,

chairman of the society greeted all the members

and announced special meeting for the formal

announcement of BiharBrains as BBrains

Development society on May 18, 2007 at Hotel

Rajasthan, Patna

C. Telephonic Conversation with Hon’ble Secretary on IISER and

technical education policy of Bihar Govt

Patna May 17, 2007: Sri Bibhuti Bikramaditya

got telephonic call from Sri Ajay Kumar Thakur ,

hon’ble Secretary S&T, Govt of Bihar and held

discussion on various issues including

establishment of IISER in Bihar. While talking to

him, he (Mr. Thakur) gave thanks to BiharBrains

for the great initiatives and extended full support

by govt of Bihar. In a 15 min talk on telephone,

following matter was discussed:

1. govt- private bodies partnership in setting

up higher level institutes

2. Setting up of Bio technology research

institute in Bihar

3. Setting up of international level

technology –vision panel for Bihar

4. Progress of establishing IISER in Bihar.

After 15 min talk, both were decided to meet on

the entire topic on Monday.

BiharBrains invited him as special guest for

meeting at Hotel Rajasthan on May 18, 2007

which he accepted.

D. BB Local Meet at Hotel Rajasthan Patna: BB became First International

society of its kind in for Bihar

May 18, 2007: BB organized local member

meeting at Hotel Rajasthan for the formal

announcement for BiharBrains as registered

society and to discuss on many other issues. On

this occasion, Sri Ajay Kumar Thakur, Hon’ble

Secretary cum commissioner of Dept of Science



& Technology was the chief guest , Mrs. Manju

Sinha (Wife of late Slain DIG Sri Anil Kumar

Singh) Dr. J.Thakur ,EX-VC Patna university were

the special guest.

In a four hour meeting, presided by Sri Bibhuti

Bikramaditya, He announced that BiharBrains

Became First International Society for NRIs

and Educated People of Bihar who live in

different parts of India and Abroad,NRIs.

While presiding the meet, he also informed that

Bihar Brains was established on online as a group

on Yahoo group on oct4, 2004 and within a short

span of time, around 1100 online members and

around 200 local members have been involved in

taking part in the serious discussion at their 18

chapters in India and abroad. These chapters

are USA, UK,Germany, Australia,Saudi Arabia,

UAE,South Korea, Singapore ,Delhi, Patna ,

Ranchi, Jamshedpur,Chennai, Mumbai,

Bangalore,Pune , Motihari ,& Janipur (Sitamarhi)

etc. This is to be noted that BiharBrains has

become successful in executing no of programs

and events (More than 20) during these two

years of its establishment including Global Bihar

Meet, recently organized by Bihar Times and

IHD,New Delhi in association with Bihar Govt.

BiharBrains is a platform for all NRIs and

educated people of People of Bihar who give

their ideas of projects , shares their gives on

projects to implement in Bihar. The details of

1.Hon’ble Secretary, S&T On IISER &

Technical education Policy of Bihar:

While delivering key note address, Sri Ajay

Kumar Thakur emphasized the need for

revamping technical education in Bihar with the

help of all govt and non govt agencies. He

announced that Bihar Govt is in the process of

establishing Knowledge Park with the help of

ICICI bank and other investors. He also put his

point for the formation of Technology vision

group under PPP (Private partnership Program)

program in which all private agencies will be

invited for the establishment of Technical

institutions in association with govt of Bihar.

He also announced that Bihar Govt is now taking

matter of the establishment of IISER (Indian

Institute for Science Education & Research) in

Bihar for which BiharBrains started a compaign.

He appreciated BiharBrains for this Herculean

task.

2. On SciTechFest,2007:

During fours hours local BiharBrains, BB

meet, members decided to organize Three days

State level SciTechFest 2007 from Nov 23-25,

2007 in which 100 local researchers from

graduate level to Research Level will show open

demo of their projects and 100 companies of

India and abroad will be invited to install their

stalls to show their product demo. Details of

which are being attached with this press release.

Prof Santosh Kumar, EX-HOD CWRS, NIT will

be the co-ordinator of this event.

He will prepare Budget very soon and will submit

to BB within few days.

3. on Late Anil Kumar Singh Yojna BiharBrains is also going to start Late Anil

Kumar singh yojna for needy talent in Gaya dist

of Bihar. As per this scheme, 15 students of class

6 will be selected through dist level test

examination and will be given Rs 250/- per

month till the completion of their matriculation

(Class 10th). This scheme will be launched in the

dist of Gaya on June 4, 2007 on the occasion of

the death anniversary of Sri Anil Kumar singh

and scholarship will awarded on Nov 10, 2007 on

occasion of his birth day. This was decided in

presence of Mrs. Manju Singh, wife of Late Slain

DIG who died while fighting bravely with

criminals in a train at Rajendranagar Terminal,

Patna, a year ago.

Sri Amalendu Narayan Sinha, EX-Editor

Hindustan Times will be responsible for this

project and will submit his budgetary report and



discuss with BB members and Mrs. Manju Singh

very shortly to finalize the yojna .

5. BB Perfomers: During Meeting Mr. Bibhuti

Bikramaditya remembered performers of

BiharBrains members during these two years

and announced their name and gave words of

praise for their valuable contribution towards

achieving goal of the society. The names of all

performers will be announced very shortly to

group members. The special thanks were given

to Sri Vijay sharan for his work towards the

registration of the society. Ms. Julie was also

given words of praise.

In this meet, 24 members including Prof S.P

Computer Science , Magadh Mahila

also present on this occasion.

E. SciTechFest from Nov 23-25, 2007

Patna May 18, 2007: A state level three days

SciTech festival will be organized from 23rd to

25th Nov at Patna by 'Bihar brains'- an

organization of intellectuals from Bihar. The

chairman of this organization, Bibhuti

Bikramaditya announced the details of this meet

F. Special Meeting with Hon’ble

Secretary cum commissioner at Technology Bhawan, Patna

Patna May 23, 2007: BiharBrains held special

meeting with Sri Ajay Kumar, Hon’ble Secretary

cum commissioner, Dept of Science &

Terchnology ,Govt of Bihar on his request on the

issue of establishment of IISER (Indian Institute

for Science Education & Research) in Bihar .In a

1.5 hours long meeting Following matters were

discussed and below mentioned are Excerpts of

the MOM .

ON IISER:

1. Start a Blog: Bihar Brains will form blog for

the demand of IISER in Bihar, which will be

used and maintained by BiharBrains and

Sci.&Tech. dept,Govt.of Bihar.

2. Endorsement and meeting with Hon’ble

CM Sri Nitish Kumar: Both BiharBrains and

Sci.&Tech. dept. stressed the immediate need

for meeting with Honorable Chief Minister

,Sri Nitish Kumar to put forth our demand for

establishing IISER in Bihar . Both were agreed

that Hon’ble CM of Bihar should be conveyed

properly time to time and update about the

progress of IISER campaign.

3. Movement for endorsing All MPs of

Bihar:

In the Meeting, on the recommendation of

action committee of BiharBrains and

suggestions made by Dr. Syed Hussnain,

member of scientific adviser to Hon’ble PM

Dr. Manmohan Singh and Vice Chancellor

of Hyderabad University, it was decided that

we should start campaign for the demand of

IISER in Bihar and take endorsement from all

MPs of Bihar. After it gets signed by all MPs on

our memorandum, let all MPs delegation along

with Representatives of BiharBrains meet to the

Hon’ble PM ,Dr. Manmohan Singh to put

pressure on the central govt.

4. BiharBrains act like catalyst and

pressure force for the govt :Sci.&Tech. dept.

has started its move toward establishment of

IISER in Bihar and they want support from

BiharBrains.

On Technical Educational Policy



1. Dept. of Sci. &Tech.submitted report on the

technical education policy of Bihar to BiharBrains

and demanded suggestion from all BB members,

particularly scientists and corporate from all over

the world.

2. S&T dept. may include some of the members

name suggested by BiharBrains for conclusion of

their have into the various committees and

organizational structure which is going to be

formed by dept. of Sci. &Tech. to decide and

finalize technical education Policy.

3. BiharBrains will act like the consultant of the

dept. of Sci.&Tech. for finalizing technical

educational policy.

Misc. Points:-

1. BB submitted proposal for the development of

BiharBrains Scholastic Center under PPP (Private

Public Partnership Program) of technical

educational Policy.

2. BB submitted proposal for support and

assistance for by SciTechFestival, 2007.

In a few days, we will start work on all the

commitments and suggestions.

G. Meeting of a Delegation of BB with Hon’ble High Commissioner of

Mauritius:

New Delhi May 28, 07: A two member’s

delegation of BiharBrains led by Sri Bibhuti

Bikramaditya met Sri Mukkusswur Choonee,

Hon’ble High Commissioner of Mauritius on May

28, 2007 and gave proposal to organize Bihari

Brothers Show at Port Louise and demanded

permission for the same. The meeting was held

in cordial manner which was also attended by Sri

Shailendra Kumar singh , a member from Delhi

and CEO of his own company Perfect

communication Pvt Ltd who gave idea of Trade

show in Mauritius. Both also discussed on issues

of bilateral co-operation between between Bihar

& Mauritius, role of people & Govt of Mauritius in

development process of Bihar & some Bihar

Brains initiatives with him in our long meeting.

During meeting BB gave other proposals to him

too which are:

1)Scholarship Program :- BB submitted its

proposal for starting a Scholarship program on

name of Dr Seewoosagar Ramgoolam (First PM of

Mauritius) through Bihar Brains Scholastic Centre

in association with Govt of Mauritius. Sri Choonee

assured the delegation that he will send it to PM

office of Mauritius for their consent through

proper channel. He suggested BB to send the

same proposal through CM office of Bihar to PM

of Mauritius directly for quick response.

2) Opening a School: - BB also proposed to

establish a School in Saran,Bihar on name of Dr

Seewoosagar Ramgoolam in collaboration of

Bihar Brains & Govt of Mauritius.He found this

idea very viable & told the delegation that he will

try his best for this project also, so there will be a

School in Bihar on name of Chacha Ramgoolam

(in his word).

3) Organizing a Bihari Brothers Show:- BB

Proposed to organize “Bihari brothers Show “ at

port louse under Bihar Brains "Youth Chamber of

Entrepreneurs" .On this matter, he informed the

delegation to merge BB program with t 'Bihar

Day' program to be organize by GOPIO,Mauritius,

Govt of Mauritius in which delegation of Bihar

Govt will also participate between July 26-31,

2007. His opinion was, if we will also participate

in same program with our cultural show,culinary

show & Trade show, it will add extra shining in

program. BB accepted his proposal on spot &

decided that now "Youth Chamber of

Entrepreneurs" of Bihar Brains will be co-

organiser of Bihar Day



4)Invitation to him in Arrah:- The delegation

also invited him in Arrah from where his

ancestors had been migrated for a grand public

welcome ceremony.He accepted our invitation &

told us for fixing date after July only.

Apart from these issues, he informed the

delegation that he is working for establishing

some industrial units in Bihar by Mauritian

Entrepreneurs.He is also trying to shift some sick

Sugar units of Mauritius to Bihar & our Youth

Chambers will take initiative for this project.

H. BB Get together at Delhi

New Delhi May 27, 07: on the visit of the

global chairman of BiharBrains Shri Bibhuti

Bibhuti Bikramaditya to Delhi in a short notice, a

meeting was called as small get-together to treat

us in Coffee Home at Cannought place in delhi

with Active members & Moderators.

The meeting was also attended by Shri Ranjeet

kumar and Shri Shailendra Kumar Singh.All the

three members discussed on some issues like our

activities after getting registered of our Society,

Doing some projects in foreign nations for

development of Bihar & also about establishing of

"Youth Chamber of Enterpreneurs" under BBrains

Development Society.



BB Events at Door A state Level TechFest on Science

& Technology (Nov 23-25, 07)

The aim & objective of this TECHFEST is to

provide an opportunity to have interaction of

budding scientist, engineers, research scholars of

all streams of Science & Technology with the

corporate world where live demo of the projects

will be kept open for public, any visitors can ask

questions about the projects and their practical

applications. The experts from industry &

academia will also be invited to assess the hidden

talents within the participants for their ability to

implements their ideas projects. This will develop

interests and exchange in their technical

knowledge, and also improve their product

performance in the later stage on the basis of

guidance given by experts and suggestions made

by visitors. At the same time, the manufacturing

industries and R & D Companies will also be

given opportunities to install their stalls to

provide knowledge of their products and projects

with their practical applications to day-to-day life

to the visitors. This will help youngsters to know

about current industry trends and also visitors

will get acquaintances with the latest available

products in the market. This conference includes

two days open project demonstration to visitors

and one day model presentations in front of

experts from industry for youngsters’ category

and all three days presentation and demo by

industries and R & D companies.
