In every program, the services provided were exemplary and fulfilled TMWF's mission to empower, promote and support All women and their families through Education, Outreach, Philanthropy and Social Services. 2015 is a very special year for us TMWF's 10th anniversary, and Subhana Allah, just like in 2005 we were functioning in the midst of misunderstanding, stereotyping and suspicion towards Islam and Muslims, we find ourselves now at the beginning of 2015 in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris navigating an intense atmosphere of fear and suspicion and antiMuslim hype! The Islamic Art Revival Series (IARS) had a stellar year in 2014 beginning with thescreening of Unity Productions Foundation's "The Noor Inayat Khan" movie; Night atthe Museum at the Dallas Museum of Art, which attracted the largest number ofattendees in their history; the month long Juried Art Exhibit at LuminArte Gallery inDallas, and finally the IARS Experience at the Eisemann Center, which attracted morethan 900 people in one day.

The IARS Art Director, Shafaq Ahmed, has recently showcased her artwork in SharjahArt Museum, Sharjah. Read more...

A great thank you to our Board President, Yasmina BenHalim for organizing theseluncheons, inviting great speakers to present on crucial topics, and coordinating thedelicious menus. A special and huge thank you to the wonderful hostesses and theboard of directors and TMWF members for the wonderful and delicious food that theyprepare.

Youth

Day of Dignity ­ September 2014

All thanks be to God, 2014 was a successful year for our Youth Group. Our membersvolunteered 600 hours in our community, learning and serving at Masjid Al Islam,Grandparents Appreciation Day, Austin Street Homeless Shelter, Captain Hope's Kids,Texas Trees Foundation, North Texas Food Bank and more! A shout out to our YouthCouncil member Zara Nadir from Ursuline Academy and to the Haq family forattending every event. To all our volunteers, thank you ­ we are blessed to haveyou!
