A Tale of Two Takeaways that wanted to move away from tiles

Although there has been a serious decline in the restaurant and hotel business over the past 4 or 5 years, the fast food and takeaway sector has remained buoyant and we have had a lot of enquiries in this area of business.Ivan from Tony’s Takeaway in Tramore was looking for something different. He wanted to change the way he operated his business He had a takeaway with a large sit-down area. He cleverly divided this large area into two areas, one with a refurbished takeaway and opened a café in the second half. He choose Enviroclad Decorative PVC using Dessin Brown on the top part of the wall and Bronze Decorative Cladding on the bottom half. The overall effect was a very rich and pleasing look. Ivan originally said to me ‘I want to have this place looking like somewhere you would like to eat and not looking like a bathroom.’ As you can see from the photographs of the finished result...fabulous.

In Rathangan, Co Kildare Tony Macari approached us and said that he was opening a new takeaway business in the town and he invited me up to look at the premises. Again the shop had a very cold look, with tiles in blue and white and the walls were painted blue.

Tony’s idea was to transform the shop on a small budget as the kitchens were already cladded and it had previously been a takeaway with a sit-down area. You can see from the photographs the counters were refurbished with SIBU laminate in SL Bubble Orange PF Silver and these were inserted into stainless steel frames at the front of the counter and what a result! This can be done with any old counter and there are over 150 colour and design options from which to choose.
