Dear Parents, It was fantastic to see so many of our school families here for our Open to Learning Evening this past Tuesday. We have had fabulous feedback about the sessions and parents seemed to have particularly enjoyed the Literacy sessions. Our teachers are always available to meet with families to discuss concerns or student progress, but evenings such as this one are very popular and we enjoy being able to share information in this way. The model of our new school and drawings were available to view and we will put these up on our website shortly. Our Board of Trustees were also speaking to parents about the role of the Board and the upcoming Board elections. We have some literature for anyone interested in becoming a Board of Trustees member, so please let me know if you would like more information. Thank you to all the families who supported our Pasefika Day on Wednesday, as we fundraised for Unicef, to support those affected by Cyclone Winston in Fiji. As a school we raised over $1200! A great effort! Our close neighbours, the Totara Hospice, is holding its annual Sunrise Walk on the 3rd of April. Once again we will be putting a team together and we would love to have our students participating and getting sponsors to support the amazing work the Hospice does. Entry for our students is free and more information will be coming home next week.
