A Little About Me:
I was born and raised in Red Deer,
and am the oldest of five children.
I live in Lacombe with my boy-
friend Mark and our two dogs and
two cats. I spend a great deal of
time golfing, playing soccer and
snowboarding.
As well, I enjoy
playing the pi-
ano, flute and
saxophone. Dur-
ing the summer,
Mark and I
spend time in
our back yard
barbequing with
our friends, and
during the winter we watch a lot
of hockey! Mark is from Vancouver
Island so we love the Vancouver
Canucks! When we actually find
time, Mark and I like to start new
projects on our house; currently,
we are working on updating our
bathrooms!
Quirks About Me:
I collected Beanie Babies as a
child
I l o v e
cheese pizza
I am a very
picky eater;
I don't like
any “yucky” things such as on-
ions, cooked peas, beans, etc.
I have never had any
“favourites”; I cant pick a fa-
vourite colour, number, actor/
actress, movie, band, etc.
I am an analyzer; I assess
things deeply.
I hate scary movies

A Peek Into My Daily Life: I am currently a full-time student at
Red Deer College in the Bachelor of
Education Secondary program. I play
soccer for the RDC Rec Royals and
hope to stay in Red Deer for one
more year to play soccer with this
team again! After next year, I will
be transferring to University of Al-
berta in Edmonton. School takes up
most of my time, but when I’m not
playing soccer or participating in
class, I
babysit for
v a r i o u s
families or
work at
P a r k l a n d
C.L.A.S.S.
I love to
babysit be-
cause I can
teach the kids new things and help
them experience new aspects of the
world. Parkland C.L.A.S.S. is very
similar, except I am working in a
children’s group home with kids that
have various disabilities such as
FASD, autism, schizophrenia, etc.
They are both very rewarding jobs
and I feel that with my training and
experience, they will help me become
a better teacher.
My Vocation:
When it came to picking a career
path, I wanted to try everything;
hairdresser, paramedic, real es-
tate agent, etc. But when putting
a lot of thought and considera-
tion into a career as a long term
commitment, I knew that being a
teacher was my vocation. I love
being around kids; helping them
learn and accomplish their own
goals gives me a sense of my own
accomplishment.
