8th March 2013 Spring Term 2 World Book Day! What a fantastic World Book Day we had this year! Everyone looked amazing dressed up as their favourite characters! We had a great book ‘swap shop’ and some lucky children got to visit Waterstones in Sheffield to buy some new books for their class! Thank you to Miss Dring for all her hard work sorting this years activities! PE Kit Children need to bring PE kit on their allocated PE days , in- cluding suitable out- door footwear and a top and jogging bot- toms if the weather is cold. Most children do now wear their house col- our t shirts and look fantastic! Football shirts and strappy tops are not allowed as PE kit. Earrings must also be removed. If you are unsure what days your child has PE please ask their teacher. Welcome to the world! Our latest staff baby has arrived safe and sound! Well done and congratulations to Laura from the Children’s Centre who gave birth to baby Lottie on Wednesday, weighing a perfect 6lbs!

Thank you to everyone who came to support Year

6’s parent event on Tuesday! They created some

AMAZING inventions that are dotted around

school!

Staff Learning

We had parent’ evening this week instead

of staff meeting—thank you to all who

came!

Miss dring, Miss Holdsworth, Miss Wig-

gan and Miss White and I all had a full

day of learning on Monday listening to

some great speakers from the

Independent thinking Company.

REMINDER!

School will be CLOSED on

Monday March 11th for staff

training :)

This includes Nursery but the

Children’s Centre is open as

usual on this day.

Year 1 and 2 trip!

Year 1 and 2 are both on school trips next wee, to Wigfield Farm and to the Ice cream

Farm! They will be spending a lot of time outside so please make sure they come to school

with appropriate footwear and LOTS of warm clothing!
