    Newsletter 27th July 2011Welcome to this weeks newsletter.

    Womens Camp is now over for 2011, the tents are dismantled and everyone is

    back to hot showers and clean clothes!! A big thank you to all who contributed to

    make Corks first Camp a rip roaring success.We are delighted to hear the Camp is going to be in Cork next year.

    A lot of the groups are stopped for the Summer until September but we are still

    open as normal Mon, Tues, Weds 11am until 3pm and Thurs 11am until 8pm so

    cmon away in Enjoy the August Bank Holiday Weekend!

    LINC Kids Summer CampThe Kids Camp is going very well to date.

    Tomorrow there is a trip to the Glen Resource Centre if you have a child that isinterested.

    Drop off tomorrow is at LINC at 10am and pick up from LINC at 3.30pmCost for tomorrow is 15

    Acupuncture AcudetoxThis is now finished until September.

    Phoenix YouthThe Youth Group is finished for the summer months and will recommence

    Book ClubThe next Book Club meeting is on Tuesday August 9th at 7pm and you will

    be more than welcome.The book being read for the next meeting is:

    The Best of Everything by Rona JaffeThis frank portrayal of four very different women working in the

    Manhattan publishing and theatre worlds in the 1950s caused a sensationwhen the book first appeared in 1958. Todays readers will enjoy Jaffe'sevocative depiction of a society in which women could be labelled old

    Rainbow Support Services is a voluntary organisation that supports Lesbian, Gay,Bi-sexual, Transgender individuals and their family and friends in the Mid-West

    region.4-6 Volunteer positions available to work with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual &

    Transgender (LGBT) Young People (aged 13-25) in the Sexual Orientation &

    Sexual Health Youth Peer Education Project and LGBT Youth Groups.Office located at the Rainbow Support Services, 1st Floor Office, Foxes Bow,

    William Street, Limerick. Work covering the Mid-West region.If you have spare time on your hands and are interested in helping out the youth

    The LGBT Parenthood Survey is seeking to identify the experiences and needs oflesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) parents and those planning to beparents in Ireland. This is the first time that a study of this nature has been

    carried out in Ireland and our aim is to build up a picture of these experiences sothat we can inform service provision and policy changes for LGBT parents and

    those planning to be parents.The findings from the survey will be published and widely disseminated toGovernment and relevant State bodies, NGOs and advocacy groups, both

    mainstream and LGBT, to assist them in effecting positive change for LGBTparents and those planning parenthood. The study findings will be shared with

    all LGBT organisations in Ireland and in particular support groups andorganisations to assist them in meeting the needs of the community

    We are currently looking for participants to complete an anonymous survey.

    You are invited to participate if you: Identity as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender person.

    Galway Prides 22nd consecutive Pride Parade on Saturday 20th August 2011.The parade starts from outside the Town Hall Theatre, gathering at 2pm.

    Galways Pride Parade is the longest consecutive running parade in Ireland.The parade is a celebration of diversity and culture, a show of pride and a call

    for equality.Many groups, statutory and community organisations, families and friends join

    us every year in a show of solidarity and support and every year the Pride

    Parade gets bigger and better.The parade is good fun will be followed by outdoor entertainment on the steps
