PANCHOLI SAMACHAR Pancholi Samaj U.K. (Established 1967) www.pancholisamaj.org.uk September 2015 Edition: 157 Produced by: Bhavin M Pancholi Shraad Bhajan Evening The Management Committee is delighted to invite you all to this year’s Shraad Bhajan evening with the vocal maestro that is Sangeet Sarita Group (London) on: Date: Saturday 3 rd October 2015 Time: 5.00pm – 11.30pm Venue: Stonehill High School, Birstall, Leicester This is a free event which will include Maha-Prashad meal and, as ever, it is open to all members. Having said this we would welcome, and very much appreciate, any donations. Sponsorship is a minimum of £51 per named person and each sponsor is welcome to display a photograph, on the stage, in memory of their deceased family member. If you would like to sponsor this worthy event, or should you require any further information, please contact: Mr Naresh Ramanbhai Pancholi - (34 Badminton Road, Leicester. Tel – 0116 221 7889; Mob: 07970 526 737). Please Note: Due to rules & regulation of Stonehill High School we are not allowed to Divo; therefore please do not bring Aarti Thali. Navratri Fundraising As you are all aware our most religious event, Navratri, has seen a decline in the number of members attend- ing in recent years which is affecting our Samaj. A discussion and an emergency committee meeting were held to debate about the future of our Navratri event. The discussion focused on whether we should hold the event on the weekends and Aatham only, or to cancel it all together. It is clear to see on a yearly basis that this event is thoroughly enjoyed by the elderly as well as a select few other community members. Because of this it would be a shame to take this event away from these committed members who look forward to attending every year. Therefore, to help support this event Praful Pancholi has organised an 8 mile Navratri Fundraising walk on Sunday 13 th September 2015. This is open to everyone, so bring your friends with you. Transport to the destination will also be provided and confirmed nearer the time. Sponsorship is a minimum of £5.00 per person. We are hoping for a big turn out for the walk to support this good cause; so please keep your diary free on Sunday 13 th September and please register your interest. People who are unable to participate in this walk can also contribute towards this good cause! To participate in the walk please contact Neela Pancholi on 0116 221 0234 or 07851 707 253; alternatively email her at: [email protected]

Cancellation of Katha This year we organised the Purshottam Bhagvan Ni katha on Saturday 20th June and it was with great regret to

announce that we had to cancel the event. It is very sad that our Pancholi Samaj members are less enthusiastic

and are showing little interest in attending or supporting our events. The committee is working hard to keep

the Samaj active; we hope that our members do recognise this and can begin to start supporting us and keep

the Samaj running.
