Milipol Qatar 2016 is set to be the launch platform for a number of

regional and international companies to showcase new innovative

products when it opens at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center

at the end of the month.

Ahead of the 11th edition of the biannual event, major exhibitors have

announced new product launches that are expected to gain significant

interest during the three-day event. The high caliber expected across

the show floor of Milipol Qatar 2016 represents all sectors of Home-

land Security, from explosive detection and forensics to analysis soft-

ware and surveillance equipment.

“Attracting thousands of industry experts and key figures in the world

of Homeland Security, Milipol Qatar has become a must attend event

in the calendar. During its 20 year-history, the exhibition has cele-

brated numerous product launches, and it is an honor this year to see

so many new and innovative examples showcased on this prestigious

stage,” Muriel Kafantaris, Exhibition Director, Milipol Qatar & Milipol

Paris said.

Ahead of Milipol Qatar 2016, Industrial Scientific launched a new

standalone multi-gas area monitor designed for all-weather purposes

that can be used in industrial workplaces and hazardous applications.

Experts in security solutions and crisis management, IREMOS, will be

launching two products this October. The first from the French com-

pany IREMOS Communication, a collaborative platform allowing crisis

response teams to access a common logbook, situation reports, as well

as all crisis documents and procedures, in real time, regardless of their

location on any device. Its second launch is IREMOS Solution, designed

to improve the preparation, management and coordination of differ-

ent services and actors, internal and external, involved in the event of

a terrorist attack.

Leader Healthcare will be unveiling its next generation integrated

portable intensive care unit (ICU). Moves SLC combines an 02 concen-

trator, a unique O2 saving ventilator, a suction system, and a complete

vital signs monitoring module into a single, compact, portable system.

In the field of Health and Safety, South Korean-OTOS is to launch a

new style of safety glasses, that it claims will protect eyes from flying

objects in addition to hazardous ultra violet rays. The sports-style

protective glasses provide shaded lenses for sun glare, a forehead

cushion to increase anti-fog performance, as well as a side-arm inclina-

tion.

Distributor Qatar Development and Trading Co. (QDT) will be promot-

ing two new target products, dated for a November launch, during the

exhibition. The first being a portable targeting system that can be used

for indoor and outdoor shooting trainings. The Fulcrum Target System

(FTS), which was developed by an ex-military personnel in 2007, can be

programmed and triggered by multiple devices allowing target move-

ments in different directions. The second product being showcased will

be the TARGABOT Target System that can be programmed by com-

puter and move up & down, 180° rotational or a combination of both

functions, with built-in sequence patterns.

French-based Cegelec Défense will be reveling during the Milipol Qatar

2016 the design of its Mobile Surgical Hospital (MSH) ahead of its

launch in January 2017. This aims to mitigating the logistics, storage

and transportation constraints through the use of expandable and

modular shelters integrating critical medical functions to address the

full spectrum of medical support requirements.

This new exhibition centre is the most modern exhibition hall in the

Middle East. It is located in "West Bay" at the heart of the Doha's busi-

The Doha Exhibition and Convention Center offers 29,000 square me-

tres of modular, 18-metre high ceiling exhibition space. There are no

pillars in the exhibiting area, which enables to display big vehicles,

machines and other heavy equipment inside the halls.

Morpho Video Investigator (MVI) is the software developed to address

the need in law enforcement and intelligence communities to quickly

assess vast amounts of video for investigative purposes. While images

and information of significant forensic value can be found in videos,

the sheer volume of data renders extraction of this information time-

consuming and labor intensive.

Today, analysts and investigators face a daunting workload that has

outpaced investigative resources. To create MVI, Safran paired its

industry leading and top ranked facial recognition software with the

power of video analytics for motion, person, and license plate recogni-

In the Middle East, as populations and infrastructure grow, public

ONLY Junctional Tourniquet hemorrhage device is FDA cleared to stabi-

lize pelvic fractures. SAM® Medical Products occludes the femoral

artery in the inguinal area at the junction of the torso and legs which is

a thing no other tourniquet but the SAM Junctional Tourniquet does.

When blast injuries take off legs like in combat zones, it can easily be

fatal and it frequently becomes difficult if not impossible to stop the

bleeding in time.

The SAM® Junctional Tourniquet offers a simple design that is com-

pact, easy to use, and quick to apply (typically under 25 seconds). The

Target Compression Device (TCD) is placed at or near the injury site

and pumped up until the bleeding stops. Two TCDs can be used to

occlude blood flow bilaterally if needed.

The rugged design ensures that the device stays firmly attached to the
