Please try not to include the following items in your childs lunch: Nuts Fizzy Pop/Energy drinks Chocolate bars/Sweets HALF TERM HOLIDAYS School will break up for the Half term holiday at 3.15 pm on Friday 20th October. Children will return to school on Monday 30th October School Council Elections The children have been voting for their new school councillors for the coming year. The newly elected children are: Reception: Sienna & Joel Year 1: Lily-Rose & Niall Year 2: Kyra & Ryan Year 3: Olivia & Harry R Year 4: Piper & Taiven Year 5: Aimee & Charlie Year 6: Megan & Jack Anti Bullying—Kieron & Freya ICT Technicians—Macey & Rhiannon Attendance & Lateness A big shout out to all the parents who got to school on time last week. Keep it up! School starts at 8.50am for all children apart from Nursery who begin at 9am. Please ensure your child is in the yard and lined up before this time. Children should be collected at 3pm for Nursery and 3.15pm for all other classes. If you are planning a holiday please remember that school will not authorise any days regardless of circumstances. If your child is persistently late and/or their attendance falls below government expectations then you may be invited into school to discuss your childs attendance with our attendance lead, Miss Latimer We hope everyone had a nice relaxing break and we welcome everyone back for the new school year. Macmillan Coffee Afternoon Our Macmillan coffee afternoon will take place on Friday 29th September in the school Hall at 1.30pm. Donations of cakes and biscuits are gratefully accepted. Cakes must be sealed in their original wrappers. We cannot accept any items containing nuts. Please pass all donations to your class TA. Thank you

Our class blogs are available to view on

our website each Friday from 4pm starting 15th September.

This is a great opportunity to read about what your children have been

learning, class awards and upcoming events.

We have a vacancy for a Mid-day Supervisory assistant. Please see our school website

vacancies or ask at the office for more details.

DINNER MONEY

Please note the price of a school meal is £2.00 per day (£10.00 per

week). Please send money in a named, sealed envelope to your child’s

class each Monday or alternatively you can pay online

via the link on the school website.

Jewellery, Make up, False Nails

Whilst we would prefer that earrings are not worn in school, for health and safety reasons. If you would like your

child to do so, only small studs are to be worn and MUST be removed for PE.

Please also complete an earrings declaration available in the

school office. Children are not allowed to wear makeup or Nail Varnish for school, particularly

Acrylic/False Nails

Homework

Homework will commence from next week. It will be issued on a Friday and

should be returned to school by Wednesday morning.

UNIFORM POLICY

Thank you to all parents who are sending their children to school in correct uniform.

Academy colours are:

red sweatshirts/cardigans grey or black skirts or trousers,

white or red polo shirts or blouses red gingham dresses in the summer

black shoes

Nursery

Is Miss Lay’s absence we have a new teacher teaching within

Nursery. Miss A Hodgson will be teaching the children until Miss

Lay’s return.

Water Bottles/Nut Allergy

Please could you provide a water bottle each day for your child.

School promote a nut free environment. Please avoid sending your child to school

with items containing nuts.

Football

Year 5 & Year 6 children are being invited to attend trials to participate in Football training with the

Foundation of Light. If successful the sessions will be on Wednesdays

after school until 4.30pm.

Any interested pupils should see Miss Wilkinson for further details
