President Clive, Lynn & Geoff W travelled with Dane Court pupils and
staff to Chessington World of Adventure on 13th June for a Kids Out
event attracting over 2,000 children and young people from the
south east. An eventful and enjoyable day with all thoroughly
exhausted by the return journey; travel once again provided
excellently by Farleigh Coaches
President Elect Tony chaired the meeting
and David provided an alternative
statement about the Object of Rotary,
whist Tony welcomed Carlo to the Speaker
slot as our wandering minstrel.
Carlo provided an in-depth review of the club’s website which he was
continuing to upgrade and set the parameters for the Contact
management System in which all members could have a personal Rotary
email address or receive contacts from the public that would be
forwarded directly to a personal email address, without the public having
knowledge of this. Carlo provided his demonstration of the websites uses
in good English with some clarifications being raised by David and Linda
on certain aspects of use. The Who’s Who page was updated and ready
to go live on 1st
July as Tony Rix took the President’s chain and whilst
there were obviously many more aspects to become familiar with Geoff
W summed up the clubs thanks for his input and hard work on our behalf
