National Senior Citizen’s Day August 21. Proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1988, the day is to encourage everyone to value older people and show appreciation for the contributions they’ve made to home, family and society in general. In his proclamation, President Reagan said, “for all they have achieved throughout life and for all they continue to accomplish, we owe older citizens our thanks and a heartfelt salute. Aaron also reported that the Dietary Department is adding part time staff to assist in the Dining Room. Paul Stech Director of Maintenance and Grounds, introduced his newest employee, Ken M.. Paul also should have another man, Eric, starting next week. Paul’s son Dave, is leaving the Maintenance Department to join his fiancée and start a new job in Indiana. Paul requested that residents who need work to be done call the reception desk. The receptionist will fill out the work request form and submit it to Paul. This is the best method to ensure your work order reaches Paul. The great lounge now has a new projector installed that will improve our audio visual abilities.
