As we celebrate Thanksgiving and the upcoming Holiday Season with our families, we can look back on this year and remember how we have been blessed at Briscoe: We survived Hurricane Sandy with GREAT teamwork from our Techs in the Field, led by our Chief Lex and our Senior Techs Troy and Alex who took the lead to get our customers serviced. GREAT planning by our Office Staff led by Dave, Maggie and J.R. who coordinated the power up of our IT/Life Safety Systems, to get the office up and running and our "Gas Guy" Nick who jockeyed vehicles to the front of the line so the office staff could get back and forth to work. Jen V was instrumental in obtaining a truckload of batteries that were desperately needed to get customers’ panels powered up again! GREAT generosity by those who gave their OT or made individual contributions to help Val and his family in their time of need. With all this going on including the challenges to the economy, we have defied the odds and still have managed to have our Best Year Ever!!! The formula is pretty simple: GREAT Co-Workers + GREAT Team Work = a GREAT Company with GREAT Customer Satisfaction. As we enter our 35th Year, my promise to you is, that I will continue to give 150% of my effort to ensure that with your help, Briscoe will continue to be the BEST Fire Alarm Company in the NYC area for ALL of us! Oh and one other thing...I am proud to announce that for the 35th consecutive year, we will be awarding bonus checks, to be given out at our Holiday Party on Dec 6th. Briscoe Techs - “Making it work and Keeping it working”
The newest system from EST is ready for the field. Our Engineered Sales staff will soon be able to offer our customers a cost effective solution for middle to large size occupancies. The EST3X will fill the void left by the EST2 and bridge the gap between small iO systems and the large EST3 systems. Here are some of the EST3X highlights.
4 programmable NAC Circuits built into the panel Speed Touch Rotary Control Networkable up to 8 EST3X panels or 64 EST3 panels Utilizes the EST3 Optional Local Rail Modules, such as the SSDC,
SDDC, MODCOM, etc. Provides the ability to connect the system to a local Ethernet Utilizes the R series Annunciators

New FDNY S-97 Certificate of Fitness The FDNY has developed the S-97 Certificate of Fitness for Fire Alarm Systems Testing, Inspection and Service Technicians. This Certificate of Fitness satisfies the 2008 NYC Building Code requirement that all Technicians who Service and Test Fire Alarm Systems are certified and have reasonable knowledge of the Fire Alarm System being serviced.
All technicians will be receiving formal training in the coming months, prior to being scheduled for an exam at Metrotech.

Saving and Sending The Latest Site Programs
Please remember to save the latest version of each program in the YY.MM.DD format with a brief description of the work performed at the site, your initials, and the date. Then take the time to connect to the internet using your Wireless Hot Spot and email the program to [email protected] and [email protected] before you leave the site.
This process, and the few extra minutes it requires, will ensure that each of our Technicians will have the most current program when they are sent to a site.
