Our Website: http://www.belvedereparkps.vic.edu.au Belvedere Park’s website has been up and running in its new format since 2015. On it you can find copies of notices and forms, access to newsletters and other information you may find useful. You can register on the site to have the school newsletter emailed to you. I hope you’ve had an opportunity to have a look. We’ll be building further on the site as we progress through 2016. Tiqbiz: http://tiqbiz.com/au/ Tiqbiz is our app for sending messages to parents. We use it for excursion, camp and special event reminders right across the school. We are able to specify the grade levels that the messages are sent to so that parents aren’t bombarded with messages that don’t apply to the grade level of their child/ren. You just download the app to your mobile device, PC or Mac, register and log in. Select the grade levels you want to access and you’re done! See the instructions following.

Years 5/6 Camp The staff and children of years 5 and 6 will be going to camp from 29th Feb – 2 March 2016. This year’s camp will be held at Oasis in Mt Evelyn (An accredited campsite). The extended compliance documentation has been been provided. Breakfast Club We are under way for another year. We have a small team of staff who has volunteered to run the show. We’ve again had great support for this program with an RSL donation of $500.00. Numbers attending are very strong and so is the smell of warm toast! Parent Helpers We often have parents who help out with various activities in which the children are participating. In accordance with Department of Education policy, all adults working directly with the children MUST have a Working With Children Check. Working With Children Checks (Volunteer) can be obtained online. See Julie in our office if you have any queries. And don’t forget………..
*The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund
(CSEF) is available again this year and you can apply immediately if you hold a Centre Link Card, Health Care Card, you are a
foster parent or a DVA (white) Card. The forms are available at our office.
*Your booklists are due to be paid by 26th
February 2016. Please contact Julie (our Business Manager) if you have any queries. *Year 5/6 camp is being held from 29th
February to 2nd March so you payment is due by 24th February. Payment concerns or queries to Julie, our Business Manager.

Students can come actively to school: walk, ride, skate or scoot.
– Mr Peters will count how many active members we
have.
HOCKEY CLINICS
Last week children in Grade 3/4 and 5/6 were lucky enough to participate in hockey clinics. We had Hockey Victoria visit us to teach the boys and girls the basics of hockey. They commented on their excellent behaviour and
the children had great fun learning new skills and drills.
